Greedy Green Grasshopper!

in Fascinating Insects3 years ago

Grasshoppers are a group of insects belonging to the suborder Caelifera. They are among what is probably the most ancient living group of chewing herbivorous insects, dating back to the early Triassic around 250 million years ago.

If you refer to the quote above, it can be concluded that this grasshopper is one of the Caelifera insect species. Which means, these insects can be said to be grasshoppers or insects that have similarities to grasshoppers, or other superfamily belonging to Caelifera insects. Perhaps the statement becomes increasingly difficult to define insects when viewed from a scientific point of view which is full of debates or scientific opinions in it in strengthening research arguments which are full of concrete and abstract arguments in it. I'm not good at talking about all that, hehe. What I want to say is that this type of insect in our real life in Aceh we call it the rice grasshopper. Or rather, one type of rice grasshopper among the many types of rice grasshoppers.

Then when viewed from the habitat of his life, of course this rice locust is very easy to find in the rice fields. Why? Because the rice fields always provide enough food for him. However, if this grasshopper lands in the rice fields in large quantities, it is certainly very disturbing to the farmers. Why? Because this type of grasshopper is a voracious grasshopper capable of devouring more food in a relatively short time, especially in large quantities, its existence is very disturbing to farmers.

However, the green grasshoppers or rice locusts that I share in this post, I photographed them not in a rice field area but in a densely populated residential area in a low bush on the edge of a path a bit far from where I live. Although not in the rice fields, this shows that the rice locusts also like green bushes. Why? Of course the green bush provides enough food for him.

Then what is the green grasshopper or rice locust like that I photographed in the green bushes this afternoon? Below I have prepared the answer.

Hopefully this post is useful or at least provides some kind of fun imagination entertainment.
