Hello Hiveans...
Accidentally, when went to play on the beach, met a larvae that would become the forerunner of a butterfly which is often known as the plain tiger butterfly and these larvae are often found in our area.
If you generally find it in every green area dense with wild plants, today you can find it on the salt water coast, this unique cotton plant thrives on a side of the bank adjacent to the sea water.
It cannot be denied, where there is sugar of course there are ants, as well as butterfly larvae, where there are green leaves of course there are butterfly seeds in the form of larvae.
This butterfly caterpillar, will soon consume all the visible foliage, gradually the caterpillar will also change shape from small to fat or bigger on its own, its job is only to eat every leaf that is around it. For them, regardless of what the leaf is, when it becomes an egg, the butterfly has chosen healthy, green leaves which are then consumed by the caterpillars themselves.
The purpose of the parent and the purpose of the caterpillar have one goal, namely to undergo a process of life from nothing to being. Here the caterpillar itself will be in the posture of a caterpillar within a few days, which then when its body has reached its maximum size then the next change will occur which is to become a cocoon.
Here it is clear that, before the formation or birth of a beautiful butterfly, it turns out that the butterfly itself has been in a position that is not liked by humans, namely when it becomes a caterpillar.
But in this post, I personally don't explain the butterfly process because that fact will be conveyed in a future endeavor. I am interested in talking about a life that is commonly seen in the daily life of insects whose shapes are not insects but caterpillars.
The tiny caterpillar that is seen by a person will have this amused and unwelcome effect, actually stays for a short time and its presence will also be visible for a while when compared to the cocoon and butterfly positions.
Here I see some of the characters possessed by this caterpillar when it becomes itself, among others are:
1
Life is so rushed
If you examine the life of a caterpillar (prospective cocoon) in the course of its life, of course it is very short, according to personal observation their life in the form of a caterpillar is no more than a week, some are in a position of 6 days or 5 days, in that position they continue to work hard, namely spending all the leaves in the environment with the aim of increasing body size to the maximum. So it is not surprising that day and night they continue to eat each of the leaves.
If the leaves that he eats or the leaves of his power are wild plants of wild weeds, then humans do not consider them a pest, but when the mother butterfly lays her eggs on the leaves that are being cultivated by humans, then she is considered a plant pest.
But the mother butterfly often chooses leaves that have the status of weeds (cotton or kapok plants), if there are, chooses cultivated leaves only in the percentage of 20% while the remaining 80% chooses the plants mentioned above, amazing... Seems they understand human goals.
So, instinctively caterpillars, they will continue to race in a short time to continue to consume the leaves with the aim of making their body posture big and fit to turn into a cocoon.
2
Have the ability to take care of yourself
Every creature that has ever existed in every environment certainly cannot be separated from obstacles, their lives will be hunted and become hunters, so this is what is called an ecosystem balancer. When an ecosystem is present, it looks like a civilization, essentially this is life in a habitat.
The life of the caterpillar (the future cocoon) will also continue to be hunted by other predators, one of which is an animal in the form of a bird. Then how can they survive. Of course they also have their own tricks in anticipating this, they will do unexpected things such as choosing a location that is slightly hidden from predators' observations or sometimes they will be silent and camouflage if they know an object is approaching them.
We ourselves often see their every move in a place that is quiet from the attention of predators, or their parents have conducted a survey in a certain location that is rarely traveled by predators, so that their life has considered everything in advance for a successful process in their life. Choosing a location that is safe from everything is the mother's goal when she first lays her eggs.
If the mother does not have such instincts, and the ability to protect herself from predators that occurs when turning into a caterpillar, then the final process of becoming a butterfly will not occur, or the life of the butterfly will not be seen again. But until now this type of butterfly still exists and is still seen in every habitat.
Thus it can be said that, they are able to protect themselves from everything that is losing.
Has the potential to maintain civilization, of course every animal has, although sometimes undesirable things also happen, but in a small capacity, if born around 100 then that will succeed in living life is about 50% or sometimes more than that. This is influenced by the selected location.
Seeing them in a cotton plant or this kapok plant, of course, has a certain purpose in life. Indirectly the mother has understood that this location is very safe for the lives of her children or the process is step by step.
This means choosing the location of the cotton plants that grow on the shores of this beach, of course the predators rarely pass by and humans themselves do not feel disadvantaged when they reproduce.
What a loss, if the mother (butterfly) chooses a location or plant that is being cultivated by farmers and a location that is dense with predatory activities.
Seeing this activity, I personally feel amazed how extraordinary their lives are in carrying out such an important activity. Here we humans can learn from a small life and can be applied in real life. Extraordinary....
