The Sixers got the job done on Wednesday although it was a lot harder than it probably had to be against arguably the worst team in the NBA in the Wizards. It took a lot of late game heroics from players like Tyrese Maxey and even veteran Eric Gordon was surprisingly huge and clutch in the game on his way to scoring 15 much needed points.

It was a rough win, but hey, a win is a win. My expectations for this team have definitely fallen overall, and so I'm glad they just got a win for the sake of winning and staying afloat. If the Sixers just hang around, who knows what can happen. They could still climb the rankings and my mind could change. Embiid, Drummond AND George were out Wednesday. George is the only one of those three set to return tonight.
To many people things seem bleak for the Sixers. I'm just choosing to enjoy the ride. I think I am just used to the Titans losing that, the Sixers are kind of a breath of fresh air, HA. The Sixers still sit just a game back for a play-in spot, not too far behind the sixth seed either. I'm not panicking and I'm glad they are still in the thick of things, just more behind in the pack overall. But not unreachable at all in the big picture.
Tonight the Sixers can get a win over another struggling mightily team in the seven win New Orleans Pelicans. Again in the big picture the Sixers should win this without Embiid, and the rest should help him. I'm just going to try and look and appreciate that on paper and take emotions out of it. Also, when it comes to star players or players in general, at least the Sixers don't have Zion Williamson. It seems like Zion is turning into a huge bust for the Pelicans overall. Slowly bringing a ton of drama along too. As much as I may complain about Embiid at times, Zion is looking much more depressing in a multitude of ways. At this point in time anyways.
But yeah with George back the Sixers should handle business and get win number sixteen tonight. I hope LOL.
