Despite a few eyebrow raising happenings around the NFL in recent seasons, I do very much enjoy the game. Always have, probably always will.
Super Bowl Sunday is basically a full fledged holiday and no matter what teams are playing, I am absolutely always going to tune in happily.
As a football fan, you get the best teams playing their absolute hardest. The rules may be changing slowly but, this big game almost always feels like real football at truly the highest levels. Players run the fastest, hit the hardest and are just absolutely locked in like never before. I can only imagine how nervous these guys must be. Maybe I'm just a super fan but you can almost hear the level of intensity reach a whole new level on the field in this big game. The Super Bowl has been going on practically 60 years now, these teams and players are truly going to be in the history books and be remembered maybe not forever in the grand scheme of things but, perhaps centuries or longer. Maybe forever, for all I know.
The Super Bowl is appreciated by fans all over the world and even non football or sports fans can get some enjoyment out of the game. The commercials are usually absolutely hysterical and the halftime show is always a big deal. All in all, the Super Bowl is really just built different and I'm excited.

It's really hard to say who will win tonight's game. I really hope the refs call a good fair game. Many eyes will be on them as much as the players. I've already made my feelings known about the refs a few weeks ago, but for now I'm just choosing to take it easy and be positive. But I am very curious to see how the game goes from that standpoint.
The Chiefs are going for a three-peat which would set them apart in league history in a massive way and Patrick Mahomes will become that much closer to Brady on the GOAT list. I believe Tom is greater substantially since he will still have three more rings AND beat Mahomes on several occasions in an AFC Title Game AND the Super Bowl. I do admit that tonight is critical for Mahomes though and it will be a huge step for him in chasing Brady.
The Eagles on the other hand are a massive threat and are by no means a team to look past in any way. This is the third time in a decade the Eagles have made it to the Super Bowl, second appearance for Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown and many others. This time though they have Saquon Barkley at running back and he is a monster. Lastly, this is a rematch from two years ago and the Eagles almost won in a thrilling game. I'm sure they'll want to get a measure of revenge.
Not much else for me to say but, as a big NFL fan it's just fun to get a few thoughts out before the big game. We'll be in a whole new reality after this game is completed. It's a strange yet exciting feeling realizing just how much things will be different in just a few hours.
Just for fun, I'll pick the Eagles tonight. Just to have a prediction out there. I think that this rest will benefit them more than the Chiefs and their physicality should give them the edge. But a Chiefs win would not shock me whatsoever, not even close.
