I'm not normally too excited about smaller sized NFL prospects, but when I watched Calvin Austin III's film, I couldn't help but respect his skills and ability. Austin truly is quite undersized, and that fact does come with some injury risk and other challenges. But that's probably Austin's only major flaw. There is not much he can't do as a receiver despite his size.

If I were an NFL GM, I would absolutely be keeping my eyes peeled for any player even remotely resembling Tyreke Hill. If Tyreke Hill does not exist, I don't think I would have Austin in my favorite players list. When I watched Calvin Austin III on film, I was reminded of Tyreke. Just like Tyreke Hill, Calvin Austin is just disgustingly fast and lightning quick. Austin has a well decorated collegiate track background as a sprinter.

Calvin Austin ran an ELITE 4.32 second 40 Yard Dash!

After watching a little more film, Calvin Austin III reminds me of Antonio Brown a bit as well because of Austin's smooth, strong route running ability. The more film I watched of Austin, the more entertained and impressed I became. Add on the fact that Calvin put up outstanding numbers in college, man I think this kid has good potential. Production in college is very good for a prospect for obvious reasons, but for some people it is not as important when evaluating players. I think it's a huge plus.

Austin's size does concern me, but I think a clever NFL head coach can really find ways to have fun with Austin and make defenses scared. Besides, the NFL is getting faster and faster, and in recent years, smaller receivers have been finding some success. Austin also has proven himself useful as a skilled punt returner.

Austin does not display any fear on the field. He is absolutely courageous out there, not afraid of contact. He is built strong for a small guy.

I think it's possible for Calvin Austin III to defy the odds and be a productive player, if not more. With the speed and skill he's got, there will probably be a roster spot for him somewhere out there.

Whatever team selects him, may have themselves a diamond in the rough!

Which team needs a speed demon the most?
