NFL Wide Receiver Rankings for 2023: #2 Davante Adams - Las Vegas Raiders

Davante Adams has had a tremendous career through nine seasons in the league. His career did not start out all that glamorous, it didn't start out terribly, but I personally could not have predicted his tremendous improvement into the dominant force that he is today.

In 2022 I personally came to respect Davante's game even more. I knew Davante was good, but in 2022 Davante joined a new team in the Raiders and I was curious to see if Davante could still be a monster receiver. Davante not only got to play with the same QB for eight seasons, but he got to play with future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Could Davante replicate his success in a whole new city and roster?

Yes. The answer to that would be, yes. In 2022, Adams had 1,500+ receiving yards, led the league in touchdown receptions with 14, and had a career high in yards per catch with 15.2. Adams picked up where he left off in terms of awards as well as he earned his third straight First-Team All-Pro honor and his sixth straight Pro Bowl.

Turns out, Davante Adams is a freak on any roster, and I'm an idiot for even mildly questioning him LOL.

Adams is a treat to watch play. He's listed at 6-1 but the man looks and plays like he's 6-4. Just really strong and professional at what he does. Great with jump balls.

Adams has four 1,000 yard receiving seasons, but he's insanely close to having six of them. Adams has two seasons with 997 receiving yards! That's crazy unlucky.

Davante is going to have to have another tremendous season if the Raiders are going to shock the NFL world and compete for a playoff spot in 2023.
