Ah yes, the Sixers struggles continue but what else is new? Despite the Bucks not having Giannis on the court, and the Sixers having all three of their apparent 'big three' in Maxey, George and Embiid the Sixers still couldn't find a way to look competitive.
I'm just at a loss and I simply don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. The Sixers being just a few games back of a play-in spot just makes this feel worse. It's just messing with all of our hearts really. The Sixers feel pretty far from deserving of a play-off spot but somehow they are still in striking distance. Just a strange situation. They're lucky the playoff format changed a few seasons ago.
Like I said before the Sixers are just properly below average. They've got random elements of what a good team looks like, but thats really all I can say. Maxey and a few role players look ok but yeah, it's not enough. I actually think new acquisition Quentin Grimes has potential, so that's something positive.
I am annoyed at Embiid but, I guess there's only so much to say. If he would just rip off the band-aid and actually not play and try to address his injury I'd feel a bit better. I'd be highly disappointed but I mean, he's barely playing as it is and when he does play I just don't see a sense of urgency. His heart does not seem in it really.
The Raptors are in town and while the Sixers look rough, the Raptors are actually looking worse. Maybe the Sixers can win just for the sake of winning. Ya know? A win over the Raptors doesn't change the vibe at any level really but, it'd be a pleasant sight nevertheless.
I'm a bit unenthusiastic lately but still...
