At least the Sixers didn't let us fans hope for too long HA. In the Sixers first game back after the All-Star break on Thursday, it was much of the same. Losing. Just the same awkward team we've been seeing for months now. Embiid, Maxey and George all out there but just not looking alive by any means. Apparently Paul George has been playing through this hand injury for weeks now, but what else is new. Just keep the guy off the court. Him playing is tough I suppose but it's not exactly helping the cause anyway. George's contract is steadily looking regrettable. At this point every player, I don't care if it takes seasons, shouldn't bother playing until they're fully 100 percent.
Hilariously, the Sixers are just a game and a half back for the ten seed which truly doesn't even make any sense. The Nets actually have the same record as the Sixers so this is actually a big game if the Sixers want to actually win, as tank talks are becoming more and more valid. At this point I'm just a Sixers fan, enjoying watching the guys play. If I weren't a sports nerd, I probably wouldn't bother watching.
On a positive note, local legend Lonnie Walker IV makes his debut as a Sixer! That will be fun, would love to see him make an impact!
Things are fairly depressing but the Sixers are still around somehow for a play-in and Lonnie is playing so, not too shabby.
