My impressions of today's Premier League 2024-2025 Tottenham vs. Brentford. The match tooked place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 21.09.2024 at 3:00pm local time (London).

Just a minute into the match between Tottenham and Brentford, the visitors scored their first goal with Lewis-Potter assisting and striker Mbeumo scoring. Scoring a very quick goal against Tottenham usually awakens the team's need to take control.

In the 8th minute a double mistake by the Brentford team, allowed the first goal for Tottenham, Madison who stole the ball in an intense play and dribbling the ball and tries with his right but the goalkeeper stops it without taking possession, the ball was immediately available which allowed Solanke to shoot and goooool, tying the match 1 - 1. Just two minutes later, separate attempts from Son and Johnson almost allowed us to enjoy a second goal. Son had a glaring scoring chance in the 24th minute without success, in one of his favorite game situations, the chance to run with the ball and score.

With intensity, Tottenham scored their second goal, when Johnson in the 27th minute accurately scored a GOOOOOL from the right side, assisted by Son. In the 38th minute the referee gave a yellow card to Vanderven, for a dangerous play against Ayer. Van de Ven attempts a pass in the box towards the goalkeeper Vicario, which had poor control of his feet and resulted as a goal scoring opportunity not completed by Carvalho. I thought this would be a sure goal, Vicario has a knack for losing concentration in simple situations like this.

After the start of the second half, Johnson misses two assists to score the goal, the first by Kulusevski and the next by Son. Tottenham Hotspur make their first change, Bissouma comes on for Bentancur, after 4 minutes on the pitch Bissouma receives a yellow card for a dangerous play.
In the 84th minute from an excellent pass from Son to Maddison makes the third goal for Tottenham. Excellent service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maddison also got a yellow card for “overdoing it with the celebration”.
Three changes were made: Moore for Solanke, Bergvall for Maddison and Gray for Porro.

Tottenham's captain, Son Heung-min has found support in the rest of his teammates to score goals, although the player did not score goals in the game he made two of the assists.
I must also highlight the clean defense of players like Van Derven and Bentancur, who without touching the opponent took the ball out of their opponents' control. I didn't think the card that Van de Ven received was appropriate, I didn't consider it a dangerous play even if there was physical contact, the intention seemed to be to the ball. I have to mention that Johnson was my favorite player of this game, he should take the MVP of the game for the amount of chances he created, personally, I think Johnson needs more confidence as a player on the field, he always creates good chances but doesn't define them, it seems that something doesn't allow him to try fully.

Tottenham's lineup (1-4-3-3) allowed for the disruption of Brentford's flowing play, an improvement in effectiveness was seen, proving to be a positive for this match, relentless throughout. This was the same call for the last game against Arsenal that ended with a goal against.
For today's game, we enjoyed the role of the midfielders, who were key in advancing the balls to the front three.
I expect Spurs to continue to improve on the season and get points that will allow them to move up the table. They currently sit in 10th place with a total of 7 points and 5 games completed. The next Premier League fixture is on Sunday 29.09 against Manchester United.
