A Sudden Void

I'm still kind of getting over the fact that I will never watch my niece play basketball again. As I said, it wasn't her favorite sport. It's more something she did to keep busy when softball season wasn't happening, but man she was good at it.

The good news is, I have two nephews and another niece who seem to be taking up the mantle of basketball in the family. Likewise, I am sure my great niece will be active in sports all her own when the time comes. I don't think @mrsbozz and I are going to get a break anytime soon when it comes to spectating. What else are we going to do with our time though right?

The Tiffin Dragons Softball team was back in action last weekend with a couple of games against Ferris State University located here in Big Rapids, MI. They were supposed to play in a tournament in Indianapolis, but that got cancelled for some reason. I wonder if it had to do with the weather that pushed through the region last weekend.

It would appear that is indeed the case!

It was a split day for the ladies against FSU with a 5 to 1 loss in the first game and then a 7 to 6 win in the second game. I actually forgot they were playing until it was too late. They have a couple more games this Sunday at Quincy University in Qunicy, IL. My sister and her husband used to live in Quincy. It's an interesting town on the West side of Illinois along the banks of the Mississippi river. It was fun to visit for the couple of years that they lived there.

From there, we quickly move into the Lady Dragons Spring Break trip which takes them down to Clermont Florida on March 1st through the 8th.

Meanwhile, my nieces high school softball season will likely be starting sometime soon. We just got a schedule the other day, but I haven't fully looked at it yet. I usually let @mrsbozz manage all of that anyway. She's better at organization than I am!

There is a good chance I will be watching a fair amount of college basketball this weekend. I heard something the other day saying there are only something like five games left in the regular season. That's absolutely nuts to me. How did we get here so fast!

You better believe the biggest game on my agenda is the Michigan/Michigan State game tonight at 8 PM. I have a feeling it is going to be a hard fought game and as much as I want MSU to win, it's likely going to be a toss up.

I might check to see if there is some softball on this weekend as well. I'll give you all the updates next week!

you are really composed on the sidelines. I can't imagine myself calm especially when there is a foul committed against my person. I think I might get a ban 😅😅

It happens quite a bit, you get used to it, but sometimes there are some pretty bad ones. My niece got a technical called on her the other day and it was clearly a flop by the other player.
