Belgian Cup Thursday Preview | Antwerp vs Anderlecht

I didn't have most focus pre-game and in the 1st half in the Genk vs Club Brugge match but increased it in the 2nd half still ending the match slightly above break even. Today is another chance with the match between Antwerp and Anderlecht where the home team needs to win.

Antwerp vs Anderlecht

The first match ended in a 2-1 win for Anderlecht in a match were Antwerp wasn't able to reach the level of the great match they played against Union before in the cup which did end in a 4-1 score. However, that match which was their best of the season was played at home and they have a clear task today as they have to win. Anderlecht had some injuries which was one of the reasons why they haven't done best in recent matches but many of them are back now. Coosemans, Stroeykens, Dolberg should be in the team today if Hubert who made many poor choices so far doesn't rotate today gambling on keeping the draw and being fresher in the weekend match which will be played at home against Antwerp. The defense of Anderlecht still raises a lot of questions and they look vulnerable. At the same time, Antwerp in the last 5 League matches got a whopping average of 2.6xg against so it's also hard to trust their defense at the moment and on top they need to take a win today so at least at some point they will need to leave space unless they take an early lead. I do expect a match where Antwerp will have the motivational edge knowing they need to win with the fans behind them and the last home cup match which they won showing great quality. At the same time, Antwerp has been vulnerable in defense and their bench at the moment just isn't as strong. I very Cautiously took just 0.1 unit on Antwerp 1H +0 @ 1.820 and I'm looking to scale in on the Over 2.5 once the odds hit 2.0+. I also took just 0.05 units on Antwerp 1H -1 Corners @ 1.970. I very much can see a scenario where the match ends in a 2-1 score and we go to extra time. So I added 0.048 units both on Antwerp To Win By 1 @ 4.450 & Antwerp Win & Both To Score @ 2.480
