I ended up with half a unit loss yesterday as Mechelen had an off day combined with the fact that Kortrijk all of a sudden for the first time this season was efficient in their finishing. So basically my bad form continues and I'm down 4 units on the season with no real indication that all of a sudden for me to find +7% ROI edges. So I continue to keep a low profile and try to do the best that I can waiting for form to return and an inevitable upswing to start. I've been through this so many times before and overall the damage is still limited while the long-term chart still shows normal upside behavior. Only 2 Matches on Saturday...

Club Brugge vs FV Dender

Club Brugge played a good match in Europe away against Celtic where they arguably deserved more and they also have been winning in the league even though 3 of the last 5 came with just 1 goal margin while they dropped 2 points against Beerschot. So based on that along with the possible fatigue I just can't yet trust them, especially at a -1.75 handicap. If feels like these matches where they either just take a narrow win or drop points somehow are too likely with Hayen as a coach. Dender is a team that has fallen back after a good start and they remain one of the releagtion candidates. They failed to win in their last 5 matches but 3 of those ended in a draw. This including the match away last week against Antwerp which ended in a 1-1 where they defended well even though Antwerp arguably deserved a bit more. Club Brugge is about Break even at home against the asian handicap at 2.5W-2.5L-2P while at the same time they average 2.59xg to score in those while 0.99xg expected against. Dender so far played 3 matches away against top teams which ended in 1-2 (AA Gent) / 4-0 (Genk) / 1-1 (Antwerp). So the one bet I'm thinking about to possibly have some value is Brugge To win & Both to score at around 3.0 odds. Club Brugge generally is team who starts matches well while being under in the corners. So if it were to happen that they push early creating a bunch of corners I might take the under there in case they take the lead. For now I'm sticking to No Pre-Game Bets

Charleroi vs Standard

It's quite insane how many points Standard has taken so far with the team that they have and they won another coinflip last week against Cercle. They tend to be best when they just fully focus on Defense fully neglecting to offense as each time they tried to play more forward it backfired on them. They are a team that is due for a bad streak and some regression to the mean but the market is fully in line with that while in the past good results would mask mediocre performances. Charleroi was in a really bad streak as they have scoring issues but this was broken against Westerlo where they played a good match only winning with a 1-0 score. They will be without their top scorer today as Heymans is suspended so that will make it extra difficult. This is a match where I see Charleroi as the winner but Standard as the team with the value in a match that is likely to be a borefest where defense is simply too strong for the offense. The only bet that makes sense to me is a tiny 0.05 unit gamble on Correct Score 0-0 @ 9.187 I also added 0.05 units on Under 2 @ 2.236.
