After a poor bet in the Champions League, I did manage to do better in the Europa and Conference league ending the mid-week with a small +0.162 unit profit. Not all too much action yesterday but also a small +0.103 unit profit on some corner bets so I'm slowly but surely grinding my way up. I'm looking forward to the 3 matches today and hope to have some more action.
Beerschot vs Standard
Standard remains a team that lacks quality and have to do with building a defense while putting in a lot of effort. Their coach is performing miracles and complained that he's unable to make subs as the quality drops even more which has cost them a lot of points. The 1-1 against OHL in the end was a fair result and Standard remains a team I'm mostly looking to oppose whenever they are the favorite. That is what they are today away against the team who is last. They have improved after a really poor start but still look like a relegation team. They on average got above 1.5xg against in the last 4 games while for Standard this was above 2 in their last 3 away games. At the same time, these teams are only at 1.05xg and 1.13xg created over the season. This was a bit higher when just looking at their last 5 with 1.22xg & 1.26xg. In that regard, a case could be made for an over bet even though generally the rule is to bet under in Standard. Beerschot at home over the season is 5W-2L-1P on the total closing line going over. Betting over in a match like this really feels like a contrarian bet so I want to watch things first. Standard had multiple matches this season where they totally got trashed on the corners away with 10-1 / 13-0 / 11-3 / 8-0 / 10-3 / 8-1 as 6 out of their 8 results. Beerschot only lost 2 of their last 6 corner matchups. I do expect Beerschot to be the team with most drive and willpower to go forward and Standard to more lure on the counter as only focusing on defense has been their recipe for success. So far I only took a 0.01 ETH crypto bet on Beerschot +0.5 Corners @ 1.700 over at dexsport.io and 36 USDC on Beerschot -1.5 Corners @ 2.800 over at Solcasino with an eye to possibly also take it with my regular stakes.
OHL vs Charleroi
Charleroi put up an excellent away performance last week away against Antwerp taking a deserved win in what was an overish match. It looks like they finally found a scoring striker with Stulic and overall atmosphere in the team is great also with Zorgane who is way too good for this team having found a great form. So I kind of expect them to continue on the good flow coming to Leuven with the intention to play forward and score goals. It's been 3 weeks now since OHL Fired Garcia but it's not that their performance all of a sudden is much better as they still mostly are taking draws. That was aside from the 5-0 win at home against Zulte-Waregem B-Squad in the cup. They have been an under team this season often best when playing organised on the counterbut at some point they actually will have to start winning matches. It would not come as a surprise to me if we would see a more open match and if Charleroi turned out to be the better team so I took bets yesterday evening on 0.2 units on

Charleroi Team Total Over 1 @ 2.00, 0.15 units on Over 2.25 @ 1.942, & 0.05 units on
Over 3.5 @ 3.900 especially with the temptation to tame more on that last one. OHL has yet to have a match at home which went below 9 corners while Charleroi only went under once in their last 7.
Kortrijk vs Dender
These are teams that more or less can be compared when it comes down to quality and potential. Dender tends to be strong defensively and they actually have shown ok form lately only losing once in their last 4 matches. Kortrijk only managed to win once in their last 5 matches which was a surprise 3-1 against Mechelen where all of a sudden they had 100% scoring. They narrowly lost with a 3-2 score against a poor Genk last week and looked willing to go forward playing with high pressure. I expect a start from both teams today with high intensity and a lot of pressure and Kortrijk as the team more willing to take risk which kind of suits Dender. The lean I have is a 1st half Under 1 bet but the odds just are too low to actually take the risk. One of the main issues if Dender is to score with an average of just 0.77xg created in their last 8 matches. For Kortrijk this is only 1.05xg. Both however are quite high on average xg against. For this match I will just wait and see before taking anything.
