Jupiler League Week 25 Saturday Previews

I was pretty pleased to take a small +0.214 units profit in the match yesterday where the pre-game bets could not have been sharper at least on the side while the Total went way over which I did not see coming. I'm moving on now to the 3 Saturday matches...

Club Brugge vs OH Leuven

So Brugge with a busy schedule and a Champions League match against Atalanta in their mind will do some heavy rotation today just keeping the core of the team with Mignolet - Mechele - Vanaken - Onjedika as the cor of the team while giving the Substitute players their chance who combined still make up one of the best teams in the league. The question however is how well the automatism will be. the line already moved from a -1.5 line to a -1.25 line and there might be an opportunity to get a -1 line in game. OHL has a decent team but overall they disappointed this season mainly having under matches going a whopping 17.5W-4.5L on the under at closing line. They did get some enforcement with Verlinden on the offensive end but they are without Banzuzi today. I do expect a start of the match where Club Brugge takes the initiative but lacking automatism with the semi B-Squad to really make the difference early this time. I don't rule out for OHL to even score on a counter first but eventually with A-Squad players on the bench, Brugge should be too strong and win in the end. Given how much an under team OHL has been I took a small 0.25 unit chance on 1H Under 1.25 @ 1.830 & 0.05 units on 1H Under 1 @ 2.350 both with an eye to possibly put some safe along the way if there is no early goal. In game I will be looking to back Brugge if they don't score early or fall behind.

Dender vs Sint-Truiden

Dender who did ok at the start of the season now seem to be in a downfall with 3 losses in a row and a draw putting them just 1 place above the playdown zone with a poor momentum and 2 teams who have more quality still below them. So it feels inevitable for them to drop back unless they take the win today. By default, they are a more defensive minded team who have a hard time to make a comeback as they are very vulnerable when they need to give away space. They also are without their best strike Scheidler so I do expect a match where they will try to defend and come out on the counter. Stvv got a lot of enforcements but so far this hasn't resulted in wins yet and they are 5 points behind on Dender which puts a lot of pressure on them not to lose. I do like stvv on the corners as they are the one who likely will go forward the most and took 0.177 units on Stvv 1H +0 corners @ 2.010 along with 0.064 units on Stvv +0.5 Corners @ 1.750 both with an eye to possibly add more in-game. I was tempted to take Stvv +0 @ 1.940 yesterday but hesitated and the odds are now down to 1.839. I also took 2 small crypto bets on the corners market (See Below)

Genk vs Cercle Brugge

Genk along with Club Brugge are the 2 teams who stand out above in the league and thee played a cup match in the mid-week where Genk in a coinflip got eliminated. There possibly will be some rotation which they have the quality for still giving good options off the bench. Genk especially at home actually has been an under team and their win against Beerschot last week was just a narrow 1-0 despite being a -2 favorite. Overall they won deserved but didn't really push as they were dominant but patient. Cercle Brugge started the season bad with too many players leaving but under the new coach managed now to get in a long unbeaten streak. Which has put them in a zone where they are 3 points ahead of the playdowns with no real chance to reach the playoffs. So if they could, they certainly would sign for a draw today. Genk as a 6 point lead on Club Brugge and know they need to take the win as they can use every advantage they have with an eye on the playoffs. Cercle did lose Olaigbe who was their best striker. I have a lean on Genk to win this match as they in the end are still the team who would have more quality with a home advantage but I need to see them dominate first before being willing to take the risk.
