Once again I did not find any fortune on Saturday and I'm going into Sunday with very low confidence and the main goal to at least limit the damage. 4 Matches and all the top teams are playing.
Club Brugge vs Standard
So Club Brugge qualified for the next round in the Champions League but so far this resulted in losing some points in the league as they have a style that somewhat conserves energy leaving them with just 1 win, 1 loss and 2 draws in the last 4 matches. The win also was narrow with just 1 goal. These kinds of matches make it that they are 8 points behind on Genk and at a negative -3.375 unit loss on all their matches combined this season when betting their handicap blindly. So while Brugge has the quality to easily win this match today, the big question remains how fatigue and focus might play a role. The fact that they are behind on Union and need to win does make me believe that they will show up today and in the end win this match. If it's with 1 goal or more depends on themselves. Standard has overreached for a while with the quality they have and thanks to a defensive style from Leko. However, they lost in their last 2 matches and generally are way better at home. In their away matches against Anderlecht, Antwerp, and AA Gent they lost 3-0 / 3-0 / 5-0 so not the best track record against top teams. In this match for me, the quality difference is too big and Brugge needs to win while Standard seems to be one the way down after overperforming this season. I took 0.2 units on
Club Brugge -1.5 @ 1.966 and 0.05 units on
Club Brugge 1H -0.5 @ 1.803 both with an eye to increase the stake if possible in the match at better lines.
Genk vs AA Gent
Genk is first in the league and in a good flow as they have a quality squad and deep bench without any fatigue from European Matches. They are able to do a lot of subs around minute 60 without any quality loss and they are giving a lot of energy in matches. AA Gent so far this season has played poorly but git insanely lucky time after time again. They had an European match against Betis away who already were qualified and AA Gent managed to get a 0-1 win result. So for ma Genk at home is the big favorite but it remains a match that needs to be played. at 1.8+ odds I would have taken the Genk 1H -0.25 bet but currently at 1.71 it just feels a bit too low. AA Gent has not lost an away match in the last 5 so I'm also cautious on a -1 line. So I'm keeping my bets for in-game hoping to get a decent line or for Gent to somehow make the first goal.

Anderlecht vs Union SG
This is a tricky match as I see Union as the better team as a whole with a solid attitude while Anderlecht certainly has qualities also. Union however went to extra time against Ajax in a match that was fysically and mentally exhausting ending in a major deception as they started great coming back from 2-0 behind in the last match while they were unable to get the job done with 11 vs 10. So I doubt they will be able to bring this high intensity today once again let alone for 90 minutes. Anderlecht has some injuries with Verschaeren and Dolberg but Vertonghen is back and Vasquez started scoring. For this match the 'Value Logic' should be on Anderlecht as the underdog but the 'Winner-logic' is on Union. So I'm staying away hoping that at some point it will be clear it it will be an over or an under match.

Kortrijk vs Cercle Brugge
Kortrijk once again fired their coach in a final desperation move as everything points toward relegation this season. From the looks of it, Kadri is injured which is a major blow. They actually weren't that bad in the matches under their previous coach but always just fell short making mistakes here an there. So I doubt there will be a major coach change shock effect. Cercle Brugge lately has been quietly impressive despite results not really having followed. They haven't won in the last 4 matches but in 3 of those were actually better than the opponent and a 5.78xg for - 2.62xg against in the 3 matches not counting away against Genk. They also need the win with an eye on avoiding playoff 3 which might potentially cause nerves so I'm not quite sure if that is an advantage. I did take a cautious 0.15 unit bet on
Cercle Brugge -0.25 @ 1.943 mostly backing Cercle Brugge based on their performances in the last matches even though I don't really like the setup with the pressure and the Kortrijk coach change.
