3 More weeks to go in the regular season and I'm still in a damage limitation mode as things haven't exactly gone as hoped this season. So Caution once again is the name of the game today in the match
Charleroi vs Genk
Charleroi is now 8th in the standings 5 points behind on a playoff 1 spot and 6 points clear of a playdown spot. So at this point, I see them as a team that can play without too much fear or real hope. I don't think they will approach this match from a point where only a win counts as a draw, which could theoretically put them safe while the chance to still reach the playoffs is almost non-existent. They played quite the nature match against Westerlo who played horrible and the match started out really slow. An important fact for today is that Charleroi is one of the many teams in Belgium who have a horrible pitch so normal play won't really be possible which has an influence on the match. Genk is still in 1st place needing all the points they can take in the title race. They have not lost in the last 9 games in the League but failed to win at home last week against Gent who played an ok match for a change. They are without El Oudahi but it should not make a major difference and they still have a very strong bench also. I have a small lean on Genk who should simply be the better team. However, the fact that it is an away team on a very bad pitch with Charleroi who don't have much to lose makes me more cautious. I did take a small early bet where the odds went up and missed the 2.0+ odds on Genk. So right now I have 0.15 units on
Genk 1H +0 @ 1.839 and 0.1 unit on
Genk +0 @ 1.923 and will keep it at that for now.
