Saturday was an ok day and I'm up around 0.3 units on the week which is nice as any kind of profit is welcome right now. There were 4 matches yesterday and only 3 today so here we go...
Beerschot vs Kv Mechelen
At 13 points behind on 14th place, the deal is pretty much sealed for Beerschot who will relegate in a way allowing them to play pressure-free. Their form hasn't been great but it's also not as bad as the start of the season. Also many things just continue to go against them. They play at home today on a good pitch against Mechelen who are only 2 points clear of a playdown spot and need the points. Looking at the overall xg in the last 4 matches these teams are at 3.7 and 3.57 so in a way it can be expected to be a match where Beerschot has nothing to lose willing to go forward and Mechelen wanting to take the win also as the away team even though a draw would not be the end of the world for them as they still have 2 matches they should be able to take points in. So I'm going into this match with a slight lean on the over but want to see more before actually getting in on it.

Standard vs Anderlecht
Standard went full defense again away against Club Brugge which once again paid off as they took the away win with a lot of help of the ref and Club Brugge. the main question today is if they will have the same tactic or not play a bit more daring today. If anything, the odds seem to suggest that it will be the case again at a low 2.25 line. Anderlecht is a tricky team with good and bad periods and they miss some offensive issues as Dolberg is injured. Hubert also isn't a coach that blindly goes forward so if anything I expect a match between 2 teams where focus on defense will be priority not willing to risk getting countered.I did take 0.237 units earlier this week on

OH Leuven vs Westerlo
OHL continues to be a very gray team who are better at defense compared to offense. They are not fully safe yet with just 3 points clear on Westerlo who are in a playdown spot. They do have the potential and quality to be way higher up but somehow they always disappoint. Westerlo kind of is in a similar situation with mixed performances and it looks like they are feeling the pressure. Last week, they put up a horrible home performance against Charleroi and the week before they were overpowered away by Cercle Brugge still taking a point. Generally they have been an over team as they do get plenty of goals against while they are capable of scoring. OHL generally is a more under team and likely won't be unhappy with a draw today as this means they would keep their lead. in their last 3 home matches they lost their corners with a combined 4-21 ratio while westerlo away lost it with 20-10. I did take a tiny 0.059 unit bet on
Westerlo +0.5 corners @ 1.813 with an eye to possibly take more in-game. OHL in their recent games have been more overish which kind of makes me lean toward the over. At the same time, Westerlo did not want to take any risk in the match against Charleroi at the start yet still going over in the 2nd half. I would not be surprised to see a similar scenario today.
