More of a struggle on Saturday as the view I had on OHL turned out to be totally wrong as they had an off day in a season where they already underperformed to their potential. I still kind of limited the damage with 4 more matches to go on Sunday.
Cercle Brugge vs Club Brugge
Both teams played in Europe last week and lost their match to the point where they are almost certainly eliminated. Club Brugge had the benefit of playing 2 days earlier and at home while Cercle on Thursday had to travel. Club Brugge now finally should have their focus on the league and the title which was something that was lacking before as they always played with a handbrake on which ended up losing them a lot of points especially later in matches while they are still the best 1st half team rarely to never falling behind. For Cercle Brugge, the pressure is on as they are still fighting to avoid relegation. Thei failed to win in their last 6 League matches but at the same time only lost once not surprisingly against Genk. So for today I expect a Cercle Brugge who will start with very high energy and Club Brugge who still just patiently tries to control the match not giving anything away knowing chances will come. Given the fact that Club Brugge has solid 1H stats and remains the better team who now can play with focus and no real pressure while having less fatigue, I took an initial 0.2 unit bet on
Club Brugge 1H -0.25 @ 1.954 which feels just about worth the risk.
Westerlo vs Anderlecht
Westerlo is in full fight to avoid the playdowns and the pressure seems to have caused nerves and some weaker performances lately even though they only lost 1 in the last 5 matches. Especially in the last home match against Charleroi they just were nowhere and lost with a 1-3 score. So given the circumstances, they are not a team I'm willing to put any faith in. Anderlecht also hasn't been great with still some key missing (Dolberg / Verschaeren) but they somehow manage to get results as they don't get that many goals against. In fact these are the teams with the highest and lowest xg in their matches based on the last 4 at 3.59 for Westerlo & 1.95 for Anderlecht. So I would say that the 2.75 line and -0.25 Anderlecht favorite are about right.

Antwerp vs AA Gent
Antwerp fired their coach last week as a bit of a surprise as the mediocre performances aren't exactly his fault while at the same time he also doesn't make anyone better and there have been some frustrations with some players. So the question today is if there will be a coach change effect as almost always these situations this season resulted in a cover of the handicap. They are 3 points clear of AA Gent while they are 3 points behind on Anderlecht. So I assume both teams will start the match with the intention to win but if it's a draw late in the match they might settle with it. AA Gent so far this season had a lot of luck and generally a poor form but they have really started to pick it up a bit. At the same time I simply don't trust them yet. 8 out of the last 9 of their matches ended at a halftime draw. Both teams are also quite heavy on 2H goals at 60%+. It feels like a quite random match where form of the day will be key.

Union vs Standard
Union has been the best and most attractive team in the league and now have full focus on it with an entire week rest. They still are without Vanhoutte but it doesn't really feel like they miss him all too much. Standard likely once again will just park the bus again today so expect a 1-way match picture where Union might have difficulties to break the lock but once it's broken and Standard has to take risks more goals should follow. It feels like a classic 2-0 match where the first goal takes a while and the 2nd comes late in the match. I'm leaning toward corners for Union but at the same time if they score early it might be dead early. I'm also leaning toward Union -1.25 and took an initial 0.1 unit on
Union -1.25 @ 1.917 with the intention to scale in more as the line gets lower along the way. The quality difference over 90 minutes simply should be too big.
