Messi is certainly the name of the summer when it comes to football transfers. After losing 2-8 against Bayern Munich, Barcelona's captain and its number 1 historic star has not said a word. He hasn't said sorry for the huge humiliating defeat, and he hasn't spoken clearly about his wishes for the future.
For the last few days, a lot of Barcelona fans are lost and they don't understand Messi's attitude. He communicated with Barcelona saying he wanted to leave the team, and there are differences between his interpretation of his contract and Barcelona's interpretation. Messi wants to leave Barcelona for free so he can receive a transfer premium on top of his salary in the new team, and the Barcelona board of directors is divided.
Some say they won't sell Messi for less than 700M, and others apparently are willing to negotiate a deal. But none of them want to allow Messi to leave for free. I don't think Messi's contract has been published online but there are some clauses that both parties are using to justify their position.
Messi acts like he is no longer a Barcelona player, so much so, that he didn't attend the Covid tests that are mandatory before any training and of course, he didn't attend Monday's and Tuesday's training. This is situation hard to believe because this player is not only the current captain but also the biggest star in Barcelona's history. Everyone in that team loves him.
I think Messi will one day provide explanations about this, it could be next week or it could be in 5 years but he must do it.

This sad story seems to be easy to explain, but I think not, I think the fan should ask before pointing out who betrayed whom?
