The impossible will come true!

After Luis Suarez's departure, Lionel Messi looks like the pair will come together for the last time before retiring from the Inter Miami gate.

There was strong news this summer that Luis Suarez's retirement from football was approaching due to arthritis in his left knee, and he was said to be in "constant pain".

"Luis Suarez has reached the limit so he can play, he is given special injections and treatments almost daily," Gremio president Alberto Guerra said.

Although Suarez will turn 37 next January, he will not retire and is ready to continue his MLS career with Inter Miami and next door to Lionel Messi.

Suarez may be the latest addition to Messi's Inter Miami team, but Gremio was not happy with his star's recovery from his injury.

"Suarez is now a problem for the president. They are exchanging ideas, as a coach I have to focus on leading the team and it looks like a Mexican TV series that has to end now."

Luis Suarez, who has been a source of excitement for the past 15 years, is now ready to write a happy ending to his career with his close friend Lionel Messi.

Suarez's bitter departure from Barcelona
Suárez and Messi, 6 years together in Barcelona, won 13 titles and yet the way they left the club was not suitable for their history and achievements at Camp No.

Suárez was one of the victims of Barcelona's disastrous 2019-20 season, the club's first trophy-free season in 12 years and informed Ronald Koeman, Suárez just days after being appointed new Blaugrana manager that he had no future at the club, and according to Suárez, the Dutch coach was only executing the orders of the club's president.

The Barcelona president has publicly hinted that Suarez is for sale by ruling him out but the striker still insists that Bartomeu never spoke directly to him.

Suárez later told "El Partidazo de COPE": "The President said everything in the press instead of calling me the moment they wanted Messi to stay, they called me to use me to convince him, to talk to Griezmann, so why didn't they call me when they wanted me to leave? Or why did they do it? Does the coach not come and tell me that he does not rely on me because he wants another type of striker? "

"Komane told me I wasn't in his plans, and then he said if we didn't find out by tomorrow, you'd be back in my plans and I'm counting on you to see then that he didn't have a personality and wasn't strong enough to tell me that I didn't need to and the decision to sell came from the board."

Messi is angry at his friend's departure
Messi was angry at the club's treatment of Suarez, and it was no surprise that since the moment Suarez arrived at Camp Nou in 2014, the pair crystallized together on and off the field and formed a fiery offensive line with Neymar.

Suarez and Messi's family were also strongly associated, and their wives opened a shop together in 2017.

So, the poor handling of Suarez, which led to the player crying, always upset Messi, who expressed his anger on Instagram after confirming his best friend's departure to Atletico Madrid.

Messi said: "You have earned a farewell to your personality one of the most important players in the history of the club, and you have achieved great things for the team and individually you do not deserve to be fired like they did, but the truth is that at this point there is nothing to surprise me anymore."

Suarez's revenge
It was clear that Messi's relationship with Bartomeu, the president of FC Barcelona, had completely collapsed and in an exclusive interview with Jules Messi accused the president of breaking a series of promises.

The decision to sell Suarez made no sense in sporting terms, since he scored 21 goals in 36 games during the 2019-20 season.

Barcelona's attack appeared weak against the rival's strength of attack at the same time as Suarez mocked the decision to get rid of it led by Atletico to the title of La Liga.

Suárez did not hide the fact that he was deeply outraged by the way he left Barcelona, and admitted that he had considered sending himself a photo celebrating his title with Atletico Madrid to the Barcelona board.

Impossible Dream
Just a few months after Suarez's departure, Messi also left Barcelona in tears, despite attempts by Joan Laporta, Barcelona's new president succeeding Bartomeu, to maintain the club's historic top scorer but the club's bitter economic situation wiped out that dream.

Messi left for Paris Saint-Germain and his hopes of playing again alongside Suarez appeared to be over and Suarez spent a second season at Atletico but returned to the National Club in the summer of 2022 and left after just six months, having played a pivotal role in the team's league title win, joining Grimeu on a two-year contract.

After Messi's move to the American League this summer, Suarez rejected the idea that they might play together again at Inter Miami, telling Uruguay's Observer newspaper: "It's impossible. I'm very happy in Gremio and I have a contract until 2024."

Leaving Gremio
When there is will, everything changes, and Messi clearly has a big role to play in the club's strategy and deals as Inter Miami signed two former Barcelona stars, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

Suarez is now set to join Barcelona's ceremony in Miami, with the striker agreeing to stay at Gremio until the end of the Brazilian season next December, provided the final year of his contract is cancelled, in preparation for a free move to Inter Miami for the 2024 season.

"I feel like I'm not going to be able to do the same next year because of my fitness and the high requirements of the Brazilian championship, which is why the club and I talked about ending my contract early and I'm grateful for them," Suárez said last July.

"I don't know if I'm going to keep playing elsewhere because I have a chronic knee problem that you all know, I'd like to ask the Gremio fans to appreciate the fact that they have a 37-year-old player who always plays despite having severe knee pain, that's all I ask."

Happy ending with Missy in Miami?
It is quite clear that Suarez's intention is to play elsewhere next season, and Inter coach Miami has publicly admitted that he is making plans for the team should Suarez join.

The Miami coach told a press conference this week: "As part of our analysis of next season, and the needs we need, we have a plan with and without Suarez so when the time comes to clarify Suarez's position regarding Inter Miami, we will be ready."

Nothing has yet been signed, but Suarez and Messi will clearly do everything necessary to realize their dream of "retiring together" and so what Suarez himself deemed "impossible" just four months ago now seems close.
