How some Nigerians are making money via football viewing centres

Football is a sport that is accepted all over the world, everyone all over the world knows about football and billions of people all over the world actually love the game of football......

Just like every sport, football have it's own interesting features and challenges too......football is fun and exciting to watch.....

Some people love watching football with some group of people instead of watching a football match alone at home or at office......

some people live in countries or cities whereby they find it difficult to watch some certain matches on tv or they do not have quick access to the stations where they can watch the match......

For example in Nigeria many people love to go and watch a football match in places referred to as "viewing centres"

Viewing centres are fun places where live matches showing on tv are displayed to people who come to the place to watch their favourite club matches instead of watching the match alone at home....

Now how the business of viewing centres work is that those who own the viewing centres do charge people a particular fee for every match which they want to watch....for example in Nigeria, many viewing centres charge an average of 100naira (less than a dollar)per view of any football match.....

In the viewing centres there are hundreds of people who fill it up depending on the location where the viewing centres is located.....

Some viewing centres owner earn up to 200000naira (about 500$) monthly from the business of football viewing centres.....

The business comes with it's own challenges too but easy to manage it as time goes on with much experience.....

One of the challenges of the business is that the business tend to get slow when most football club season's come to an end,of course when football season ends then of course there will be less matches played and many football fans have nothing to watch at that period of time so that also affects the viewing centres too ...but the good news is that when the season starts, they make money again.....

Some viewing centres owner are more creative and they stylishly add more business into the viewing centres arena e.g they start selling sport jerseys ,flyers etc inside the viewing centres, some will even sell snacks and drinks too to the viewers/customers......

This shows that there is opportunity in everything in life, one can make money via sport ...watching sport is cool, making money from it even sounds more interesting.....

I am pretty sure this is just a pub with no beer as the concept is just the same

I know they are meant to have a public licence for this and by the prices they are charging this doesn't look they are doing this legally. Television subscription channels have a home price for the likes of you and me and then a commercial/public price which is expensive. I know pubs overseas would pay only for the bigger games as they needed crowds to pay for the drinks which covered the tv costs.
