Hello sports fans, so all domestic football is on an international break. The break is going to last for two weeks, some players have returned to their home country for the upcoming world cup qualification matches which started last night.

Portugal is on the verge of not qualifying for the world cup after failing to make the top of the group after losing to Serbia but luck was still on their side as they have a chance to qualify for the world cup. Last night Portugal played against Turkey in the Uefa qualification playoffs, a match they needed to win by all means.

The first half of the match was quite entertaining, I saw Ronaldo giving it everything he got to make sure Portugal gets a victory over Turkey. The first goal was scored in the 15th minute, the Liverpool player Diogo Jota fires a shot from outside the box the ball hit the crossbar and rebound back but this time Otavio the International Portuguese player was quick to respond to the rebound ball and played the ball into the goalpost

The second goal was scored at the 43rd minute almost before halftime, Otavio made a cross into the box and found Diogo Jota who made a strong header into the goalpost and extended the lead by two goals to nil. The second half was a bit tense as Turkey were matching Portugal blow to blow, Turkey got their first goal of the night at the 65th minute Burak Yilmaz was gifted a through ball by his teammate as he played the ball into the goalpost as the ball went past the goalkeeper.

The Turkish players fighting spirit came back as they launched several attacks to level the scoreline, Burak Yilmaz gave the Portuguese defenders a hard time and he got brought down in the box. There was an appeal for a penalty but the referee ruled it out.

Turkey's hopes were crushed as Portugal scored their third goal in the 90th minute. Rafael Laeo played a through pass to Matheus Luiz as he made the run down the box and fired a shot into the goalpost and sealed Portugal's victory. It's not yet over for Portugal as they still have one more match to seal their world cup spot.

So, guys that will be all for now, there are still more international matches to be played, don't miss out.
