There have been so much talk about the outstanding game Liverpool have against Everton. This game was supposed to be played earlier in the first half of this season, but the game had to be postponed due to the bad condition of the weather back then.
It's a game that usually has a lot of intensity because of the history of both clubs. It's also a Merseyside derby game between both sides. So, the build-up to the game is an emotional one for both sides.
Everton are about to be demoted to the lower league due to their position in the league table at the moment. Liverpool on the other hand are trying to widen the point advantage they have while currently leading the race to win the EPL.
So, this is surely a game where both teams have some much to play for.
First Half.
At the beginning of the game, the whole stadium was buzzing with intensity. The fans were ready for the game and the chants from both fans was erupting the stadium.
Just 5 minutes into the game, I made a tweet on my X page about the match and I predicted Liverpool to win. 6 minutes after that, Liverpool made some defensive error at the back and got punished by Everton. That was the opening goal of the game.
As you would expect, Everton fans celebrated that goal massively.
Liverpool on the other hand gave an instant reply to that goal by scoring an equalizer in the 16th minute of the game. That's just 5 minutes after the opening goal that was scored by Everton.
Liverpool's goal was scored by Macca through a cross that was fabulously delivered by Salah. That equalizer balanced the scoreline as both sides continued pressing each other.
The rest of the first half was an intense battle for both sides. There was no dull moment at all as both sides tried to win the ball by all means. This led to a lot of careless and free-flying tackles from both sides.
Both sides got punished for some tackles as 5 yellow cards were delivered in this half of the game. Liverpool picked up 3 yellow cards while the other two went to Everton. We may be seeing red card in the next half of the game if both sides go ahead with the same level of tackles.
Second Half.
This started as a very tough and frustrating half to watch because there were too many stoppages due to tackles, both when it's necessary and when it was completely unnecessary. The game lost its spark and all I was waiting for was the winner deciding goal.
Liverpool did a couple of changes to their squad and did a bunch of substitution in an attempt to strengthen their performance and get something out of the game.
The long awaited goal finally came in the 73rd minute through a fabulous finish from Mo Salah. The celebration for that was wild and most of us thought this win is already sealed without knowing that this would be one of those games that's going to end with a lot of controversies.
I'm honestly not in the mood to dive into this controversies.
Just know that;
This same game ended as a 2-2 draw.
Everton fans ran into the field to celebrate their equalizer in the 90+8 minutes.
A fight broke out between Liverpool and Everton players after the final whistle.
3 red cards were given after that fight and one of those went to Arne Slot.
That's it for this Merseyside derby.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.

It was actually a very tough match but Liverpool was really able to scale through and I love it
Yeah. The way the game ended makes this feel like a loss.

I didn't watch this game due to exhaustion but I did see the goal by Salah before I drifted off to sleep.
Waking up to 2-2 was painful to experience.
Hopefully this isn't a spell starting..m
