Liverpool are back again for another premier league cracker after that interesting mid-week premier League derby we played with Everton. It was an opportunity to be 10 points ahead in the title race. However, we ended up conceding a late minute equalizer.

Well, we are back again!

For this gameweek, we are up against Wolves and this is a game we have to win in order to maintain our chance of winning the Premier League. A win in this game is especially important because Arsenal won their game yesterday and ended up reducing the points between them and Liverpool to 4 points difference.

Winning this means Liverpool will reestablish the 7 points difference between them and Arsenal. So, we just can't afford to mess this up.

First Half.

Liverpool stepped into this game with a solid XI.

  • Jota finally got his start in the premier League after being away from the starting XI for so long due to the injury he suffered.

  • Diaz started at the left wing while Cody had to sit in the bench.

Liverpool started this with several attacking attempts. Attacking passes were getting spammed into Wolves backline while Liverpool forward players tried to get something out of those.

Liverpool's first goal came in the 15th minute. It was a goal that came from a failed attempt from Salah to receive a pass that was delivered to him. The ball escaped from him, but Diaz got on the end of it to convert the chance to a goal.

The second goal of the game was also a Liverpool goal which came at the 37th minute, very close to the end of the first half. Diaz won a penalty and the goal was scored by Salah to put Liverpool two goals ahead.

Honestly, Wolves also had their moments of brilliance. They had a lot of those and they managed to successfully break Liverpool's midfield. Where they always lacked some expertize is in their finishing. They just couldn't convert any of their chances in this half of the game.

Second Half.

Liverpool started this half of the game with a substitution. We took off Konate and replaced him with Quansah because Konate picked up a yellow card in the first half of the game and he was already at the risk of receiving a red Card. So, taking him off was a good call.

Liverpool had a shaky game in the second half. They generally struggled to create as much chances in this half of the game. They also struggled to defend as a unit.

Wolves on the other hand created a bunch of chances. They had a lot of goalscoring opportunities and even got themselves into a really good 1v1 situation against Alisson. Alisson stepped up and made a very important save at that point to maintain a clean sheet.

However, he just couldn't keep that up for the whole of the second half. Wolves got their goal in the 67th minute, thanks to Cunha who has been in decent form this year.

The rest of the game ended with no other goal. Liverpool got their win and moved back their points advantage to 7 points ahead of Arsenal who are in second position.

Now, all attention for Liverpool will be on the game we will be playing next weekend.
