I'm still in shock after witnessing another huge upset not only in this World Cup but also in the history of football. I just can't believe what is happening. Brazil are on the edge of winning the game but their overconfidence killed them. Imagine, still balling even though the time is tickling already. They could've defended it!
That was the deciding factor of the match, not the penalty shootout. If they just decided to delay the game and defended well. Why Fred didn't just defended the ball? Why were all didn't come back after they lost that possession? Most importantly, why is there a need to push more and try to attack when it's just 3-5 minutes left? What worst, most players didn't help the defense.
The Penalty
I gotta say, the Croatian Goalkeeper Livakovic was the man of the match. He really made crucial saves in the regulation and even in the extra-time. He's kept his composure and the maturity of this young keeper will keep into the minds of the clubs scouting players after the world cup. For sure, this man will get lucrative offers from big clubs in Europe. I think Manchester United is the best club for this man as De Gea is nearing his retirement age.
Luka Modric shows his maturity and leadership mentality by not going down and fighting to the last minutes of the game. The goal from Petkovic wouldn't happen if and only if the players didn't overextend for the attack and go back down for the defense. It can be seen that the fans and even some players are celebrating early.
This is another heartbreak for Brazil. I see that it's exactly the same feeling as the 7-1 demolish by Germany last 2014 edition in their own home soil. I feel so sorry for the Brazilian fans out there. I am honestly rooting for them.

The world cup keeps giving us surprises, Brazil were also favorite could not progress to the Semifinals. I thinks the gods of football were angry with the way they danced against Korea Republic😂
Funny! I honestly feel so sorry about Brazil as they played really good in that match. It's just that this Croatian side is more mature probably because Modric and Perisic are composed individuals. Despite Modric's achievements, you can never see that arrogance in his face.

Another sad day for Brazil football. They're the favorites to win though. Goes to show that football isn't just about statistics and $$$ value.
Unfortunately, one has to bid good bye in every playoff match. Croatia was the better team, as far as I can say :)
Very shocking defeat, but I blame it on the tactical deficiency of the coach.
More defenders should have been brought in to defend the lead.

Unfortunately, very shocking too. While this may be heartbreaking for the Brazilian fans. Croatia deserve the victory as they kept their composure and battled it out until the end of the match.

I am happy for Croatia as Brazil deserved what they got and that is an early flight home.
Too much show boating for Brazil. I was certain that they'll win after that Neymar goal but there was a tactical mistake at the end for allowing that goal to happen. Netherlands and Brazil are out.
I didn't watch the game but this is certainly shocking even for a non football fan like myself. I do like seeing the little guys like Croatia do well though.
Really heart-breaking. I watched the full game and that Neymar goal was an absolute screamer but unfortunately, I blame the coach for not switching to defensive in the dying minutes.
