After a little break down on Koh Samui, I'm back at home in Bangkok and ready for a great winning weekend!
The last game was the EFL Cup game between Leicester and Brighton which ended in a 2-2 draw with the first goal being scored by Leicester City's Barnes (who?!) but full details of any winners at the end of the post.
We have a full program of Premiership action to go at but as usual, on a Saturday, I choose the latest game to give everyone plenty of time to enter and today, it's an easy one to predict...
@nathen007's Prediction
Despite losing in the cup midweek to Arsenal, I still had last weekend's glorious battering of Man. U by Liverpool to look back on to cheer myself up and to keep me in high spirits this week, I'm hoping for something similar today at Spurs.
Ole has got to be under some serious pressure after having spent a trillion quid on Ronaldo which has done nothing to arrest their tumble down the table after a couple of weeks of Ronaldo feelgood factor quickly wearing off.
Man. U are easy to beat defensively and need to tighten up a lot at the back. They're rubbish. All that fancy dan football from their overpaid, wage robbing 'stars' is not going to help them if they keep shipping goals like a bunch of Sunday league schoolboys. Pogba isn't available as he starts a three-match ban, which probably works in their favour and I read that Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial are back in training and might make the matchday squad.
Down in London, Nuno Espirito Sanos has Dele Alli and Harry Winks back at his disposal and I'm sure Kane and Son will be rubbing their hands in glee at the chance of copping a bagful of goals between them which would create a handy 4 point gap between them and Man. U as they strive, a little wobbly perhaps, towards their aspirations of Champions League football next season.
I really am not a huge Spurs fan, but I know who I'll be shouting for today!
Prediction: Spurs 4 : 1 Man. United - First goalscorer: Son
Simply write the name of the FIRST GOALSCORER and the CORRECT SCORE as a comment. The competition closes 5 minutes before kick-off which is 17.30 BST
The Small Print
In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goal scorer or correct score, the prize is shared, and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 50 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all pay-outs will never exceed 50% of post-pay-out. Other bonuses are paid out at my discretion.
And the winners were...
Barnes....2-2.....Hmmm @emeka4 well done my friend with the correct score and so the full 5K are on their way to you. No one got the first goalscorer so the pot rises up again to a tidy 8K!
As for the HBI shares, 1 each are on their way to @da-prince and @tokutaro22! Congrats guys.
