RE: SPORTS TODAY 26th July- 1 HIVE + 200 SPORTS givewaway

Big surprise today in basketball at the Olympics with France beating the US team 83-76. France already won against USA during the world cup in 2019. Two wins in a row against USA, that's unseen since they started sending NBA players with their national team (it used to be college players).

Funny time.
I thought that USA has the best NBA team?
Why not use them for the Olympics??

I have no idea... but maybe they wanted to give the college players some experience.

Lol
Not in competitions like this.
It will take another 8 years to reoccur

Just a small detail, but the summer Olympics are every 4 years, not 8. Well, to be exact, this time, the next one will be in 3 years since these current Olympics should have taken place last year.

Oh.
I lost count.
Thanks for the reminder

They do use them now with all players in team USA playing in the NBA. But before 1992 and the famous Dream Team, it was only amateurs players. I think a rule change in the late 80's was the reason they started playing with NBA players.
But now, basketball is much more worldwide, with plenty of foreign players in the NBA. The rest of the world is slowly catching up.

Okay
I understand
Just like Messi playing in Spanish laliga

Was this a practice match or the actual match? I am kind of surprised that the US isn't doing so well.

No, it was an official match, their opening match in the Olympics tournament. They just don't seem to be able to play together as a group. Like I was saying in another post, I think they can get out of the group stage, and by the quarter finals, they'll play better hopefully.

usa isn't really good in football from time , are will be out played by France, japan and others

It's basketball we were talking about, not football. And in this case, the USA are easily the best, they have all the best players in the world. But somehow, they're having trouble getting it together.
