Real Madrid and Frankfurt are finalizing the process for the transfer of Jovic to Frankfurt on a loan for six months till the end of the season but There are no additional options of signing him. Negotiation is yet to be completed and there have not been any Medical test at Frankfurt.
Jovic has played for Frankfurt for two years from 2017 to 2019, He played 75 games and scored 36 goals, later in the 2019 season Real Madrid picked interest and signed Jovic as a successor to Karim Benzema for a transfer fee of €63 Million but it quite unfortunate that Real Madrid has not gotten Benzema replacement yet.
Karim Benzema is ageing but still far better than Jovic, Jovic played 27 games for Real Madrid last season but only scored two goals while Benzema played 48 games last season and scored 27 goals. this season Benzema has played 21 games and scored 12 goals, but Jovic played only 5 games and scored no goals. Zinedine zidane has no belief in Jovic and he could be sold on a permanent transfer when he returns from loan if he didn't perform better.
Although obviously Benzema is better than Jovic, Jovic didn't had a real opportunity to show his qualities. Great part of those 27 games he came from the bench and only played a few minutes. Also, he struggled with injuries a little bit. I hope he can reach his old form in Frankfurt, he is still young and he was unreal at Frankfurt
He may regain his form if he return to Frankfurt, Real Madrid is just a wrong move for him and he might have been one of the best striker in Europe if he doesn't move to Real Madrid.
