It goes without saying that watching Manchester United these days is shocking for many. The club fans can add, "annoying" to that sentence.
Ruben Amorim talked about a storm when he arrived, this is not something short of a full-blown storm.
I just intend to do a little troubleshooting overview with this post.
THE ROOT
I like the way a Manchester United fan puts it–
"The squad doesn't fit the manager's methods, especially in two very critical areas. The wingbacks and, in my opinion, one of the two 10's."– @deniskj
The above quote,in my opinion encapsulates the root of the problem and my eyes will stare at the club's heirarchy for the primary blame. This is such a strange club management bordering on incompetence really.
Now I don't understand United's heirarchy.
You are looking for a world class coach. That's great. You find a Ruben Amorim, that's okay he is world class.
However, you saw his system of play before you contacted him and you know very well that he is forever wedded to that one system. It was clear to you.
Secondly you looked at the squad you had. You knew your squad. I wonder how it was not amply clear to you that you don't have the requisite personnel in key areas to interprete and play the coach's system. How on earth did you miss that?
Oh you didn't miss that, you were just hoping. How do you run a huge club on mere hope? I wonder if the heirarchy truly respects the club they say they manage. This is broad day light gamble. The pieces didn't fit and you decided it doesn't matter. You mean it doesn't matter in the EPL, the best league in Europe and the world? Who does that?
By the way few days back we saw this reported about you.
🚨🐀 Daily Mail: “Man United have been hit by a MICE infestation at Old Trafford”, reports Mike Keegan.
“Droppings were discovered on a recent visit by hygiene inspectors and the club slapped with a two-star rating, way short of the maximum five”.
lThe club are working with pest control”.
Now the coach has become more like a laughing scorn, like a comedian in the stage built by the heirarchy.
The coach must shoulder some blames too. You are a very young man, what is the haste about? "Oh if I don't take this opportunity now, it may never come again", is that what you were thinking?
It's not as if you were coaching in a poor league. Portugal is no lowly league! You were leading in that league and doing wonders in the Champions league, so you will never have lacked big time suitors if you didn't hastily join United.
Well should we say congratulations or sadly, both parties have combined perfectly to manufacture troubles for Manchester United.
I wish then well.
