After losing their opening game of the season to Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City ran riot as they hit Norwich City for 5. The pressure started early for City and were desperate for result after their opening day defeat. They turned up in a classy style and their new boy, Grealish got on the end of the score sheet.
It's not been going well for Norwich who faced Liverpool on their opening game and they lost 3-0. Now they faced a hungry City side and again, they lost 5-0. It's a harsh reality to life in the Premier League and would have to turn their games around if they ever want to have a chance to stay in the Premier League.
As expected, City started on the front foot and Gabriel Jesus had a decent strike in the 3rd minute that it took the alertness of the goalkeeper to parry away. City got their goal albeit with a bit of luck after the ball into the box was blocked off by the defender but it struck Tim Krul and it deflected in. City got their first goal as an own goal from the goalkeeper in the 6th minute.
City felt they were two goals up in the 15th minute when Ferran Torres scored but VAR showed a foul in the build up to it from Bernardo Silva and the goal was ruled out. Not to be denied for long, City got their second goal and this time around it counted. Gabriel Jesus ran riot on the side and delivered a lovely ball into the box and it struck the thighs of City's most expensive player; Jack Grealish as it went in.
Gabriel Jesus missed the chance to add a 3rd in the 55th minute after his shot went off the mark despite being inside the box. He controlled the ball well, drove in but missed. The 3rd goal finally came in the 64th minute after a brilliant corner kick delivery into the box wasn't cleared and it fell to Laporte inside the box. He guided the ball into the back of the net with alertness.
Sterling came on and added insult on the injury in the 70th minute as the lively Gabriel Jesus worked his wonders on the right hand side again and picked out the lurking Sterling inside the box who had the easiest of tap-in to make it a resounding 4th.
The only chance Norwich had in the entire match came in the 78th minute when Rashica found space at the left hand side of the box only to blaze his shot far over the bar.
The second City substitute to get his own goal as well was Riyad Mahrez. He expertly beat the offside trap after a long ball from the back and he coolly placed his shot into the back of the net with the help of the upright to end the game with a five star performance for the whole team.
City won their first home game of the season by thrashing Norwich City by 5 goals without a reply. Life into the Premier League for Norwich isn't coming easier at all. Let's hope they can do enough to at least stay in the league. It's a long season after all.

Of course city deserved the winning they were ready for it following the opening match by Tottenham last week, it was a great opportunity for them and they used it well
Great team effort with brilliant attacking play.

It is indeed a five man city game with what i saw yesterday in their game against Norwich. I saw class in their performance.
They played to perfection.
Honestly I expected City to win but not with that amount, with a team I was not easy but a little like Norwich I assumed it would be a guaranteed victory and that it would be at least by 2 or 3 goals, but when I check and see that they are 5 I was shocked, then I saw the game and it was very cool without a doubt. City is a very good team that started losing in this Premier League but now I think it's going to scale.
City ran riot against them hahahaha.
Hahahahahahah, they were great against them and I really enjoyed the game. I hope to see them like that in the next games.
They keep getting stronger.
