Japan #27 Saki Hayashi, Japan #52 Yuki Miyazawa, and Japan #15 Nako Motohashi all had multiple threes and a total of 19 3-pointers in the game for the world's 10th-ranked Japanese team, which finished the group stage with a 2-1 record at Saitama Super Arena.

Japan #27 Saki Hayashi scored 23 points to lead her squad, with seven 3-pointers, two rebound, two assist and one steals.
"I don't remember how many three-pointers I made," Hayashi said.
"I want to help the team with more three-pointers (in the quarterfinal) and definitely want to win," she said.

While Japan #52 Yuki Miyazawa added 19 points with five 3-pointers, two rebounds, one assist and one steals.

And Japan #8 Maki Takada added 15 points with one 3-pointers and two free throws, five rebounds, three assist and two steals.

Japan #13 Rui Machida of Japan tied an Olympic women's single-game assist record with 15 in just 20 minutes of play, with two rebound and one steals.
