Man City scores away record, Guardiola relaxed

Manchester City set an away record after winning the match against Arsenal in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola casually responded to that.
When meeting at Arsenal's home, Man City took home 3 points with a 1-0 win. At the Emirates Stadium, Sunday (21/2/2021), Raheem Sterling's quick goal in the second minute became the only goal that determined Manchester City's victory in that match.

Riyad Mahrez's cross from the right flank was completed perfectly by R. Sterling. with a header.

Opta noted that Man City have now gone on to pick 11 away wins in all matches. The Manchester City team matched the record they set themselves in 2017, also under Guardiola.

Meanwhile, for R. Sterling, he became the third player to score a goal against Arsenal in three consecutive meetings. Previously, Nicolas Anelka (4 goals until 2009) and Ian Harte (3 goals until 2003) broke into the arsenal's goal in three away matches.

"Records are there to be broken one day. We will definitely lose one day," Guardiola said in the "Daily Star".

"I was surprised when all the teams struggled, that we were consistent in the last few months. That is why I am very happy to win only 1-0."

"Winning games like this 1-0 is what we need to do. Everyone is looking at our winning pace and thinks it's very easy. I didn't expect that," added Guardiola.

City were last touched by defeat on November 22, 2020 last year. They defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2 goals without reply.

After that, Manchester City was unbeaten in 25 matches. By recording, 22 wins and 3 draws and the defeat has not been touched.
