After defeating Manchester United in the FA Cup final yesterday afternoon at Wembley Stadium, Manchester City is one step away from breaking a record and making history.
The last time an English team won the Premier League title, FA Cup, and the Champions League was in the year 1999. That season was named the impossible dream, because of the incredible performance of the Manchester United side in that year.
Sir Alex Ferguson, the former manager of the team led them to the treble victory and since then no English team has been able to win all three major trophies in a row.
The Manchester City team is just one win away from equaling his treble record. They face Inter Milan in the champions league finals on the 10th of June and it looks as though the title favor is on their side.
pep Guardiola's Manchester City team has been in good form and they seem unstoppable.
If they manage to win the UEFA Champions League on the 10th, then they become the second English team to win the treble.
