Hello hivers, i am back again, and today I want to talk about my country Nigeria not qualifying for the world cup.
For the past decade or two, Nigeria have not been where they aspire to be, with out last continental title coming in 2013, when we won the African cup of Nations, but before then, our last win came way back in 1994.
This has led to many discussions, because Nigeria should always be favorites in any African cup we participate in, as we are known as the giants of Africa.
Watching the games against Ghana, over the two legs really showed where we are, not necessarily because of the result, but the style of play, and the manner in which we approached the game.
There was a lack of determination, lack of hunger and passion, and I'm pretty sure that's what is upsetting us Nigerians.
There are a few players who you can say showed heart, such as Victor Osimhen, but really there aren't many of them, and we hope that changes soon.
We entered both the African cup of Nations and WC qualifiers without a proper manager, which is incredible, as Augustine Eguavoen was the interim manager for both competitions.
There is a lot of problems when it comes to Nigerian football, both on and off the pitch, and we all hope we can begin to show, just glimpses of how we used to be back in 1994-1996, when we were 5th in the FIFA rankings, and even won the 1996 Olympics by beating Argentina 3-2 in the finals.
We all hope for change, and we hope it comes sooner than later, thank you for reading, and see you soon!
sorry for the lost against us.... We have always been ahead of you guys,,better luck next time
were y’all in 2018 or 2014 wc?🤔nah
