I really needed to get this post out early enough before the first kick-off of the week. International breaks feel like hell these days. When there is no club football, my weekends are just feel bland and meaningless. I think it might be time to find a new hobby, xD. I guess it was boring because I couldn't play football or go to the gym, but then again, I could attribute that to the state of my health and also my Girlfriend was around. It wasn't boring even, just uneventful as a typical weekend for me would have been. Anyhoo. There are some interesting encounters this game week, and I thought we should take. A look at some of them together and also make some predictions. Let's gooooooo.
Tottenham Vs West Ham - 2-1
The first game of the game week is a mouth watering tie at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. After an absolutely shocking result last time out against Brighton, where they self imploded and squandered a two goals lead to lose 3-2, Ange Postecoglu and his boys in white would be hoping to shake off the disappointment and get back to winning ways against a West Ham with the hammers only having two wins in seven games, albeit they ran riot last time out, at Ipswich.
Man United Vs Brentford - 1-0)
Under fire Eric Ten Hag would be hoping to get back to winning ways with his team having a bad record recently, with no win in five games in all competition. The Red devils currently sit in 14 place with just eight points from a possible fourteen. Their worst ever start in an EPL season. They go up against a Brentford team looking good in front of goal, contributing five in an eight goal thriller at GTech community stadium last time out. A great game it could be.
Bournemouth Vs Arsenal - 0-2
A fairly easy game this could be for the gunners, as they would be looking to take their tally to five wins in five in all competition. The gunners have had a good start to the season, still unbeaten in the EPL. Not one of the big exciting ones, but a fun watch it could be as we could see lots of goals.
Liverpool Vs Chelsea - 1-1
Jumping straight the the sunday fixture; with a battle of the titans. Both team, with just one lose in the last seven EPL games, with Liverpool having the better record, winning all six, this promises to be an incredible encounter. Chelsea would be boosted with the return of their captain, Reece James, albeit it is unlikely he will be involved in tomorrow's game. Meanwhile, Liverpool have their injury woes, as their Brazilian shot stopper, Alison Becker, could be out for several weeks due to muscle problems. The two teams have had a go at it in the past, in both cup finals and league games with Liverpool enjoying more success. Let's see how this one pans out.
