Relatively speaking, that's a fairly weak and inexperienced India batting line-up especially outside India.
In previous series, India have had guys like Rahane and Pujara who maybe weren't as eye catching and didn't score mountains of runs in home conditions but they knew how to get the job done on pitches overseas.
India are left with Rohit and Kohli both in poor form and a load of talented but raw players in that top 6. Rishabh Pant is probably the one guy with both experience and coming into this series with any kind of form that the Aussies would be concerned with.
Looks like a good tactic to have tweaked the scheduled and play in Perth and Brisbane early in the series. You'd fancy Australia on those surfaces in particular.
You'd think that on paper Australia were likely to be dominant...so it's kind of embarrassing that Australia is struggling after 2 days.
