In the second half Atletico laid siege upon Danny Cardenas's goal. As Luis Suarez nos 9, was seen coming within millimetres of an equalizer, Cardenas was inspirational making just a second appearance in the Spanish top flight. He saved the ball from Jay Felix nos 7 and just when Atletico did breakthrough through Ann Hel Prehaya the goal was disallowed because of a push from Luis Suarez against Vezo

Riccard Sanchez and Musa Démbelé came on for their LaLiga Santander debut in the 92nd minute Cardenas with a magnificient save from Lemar and then in the 95th minute ,Oblak came up for a corner and substitute Jorge de Frutos on his 24th birthday with a memorable goal from close to the half way line and Atletico for the first time since 2019 suffered their first defeat at home and also did Levante record their first away victory over Atletico.
Levanté moves up to position 8 in LaLiga now just 5 points shy from a European Qualification Position
