Match review: Paris Saint-Germain vs. Manchester City, 22nd of Jan. 2025

With six goals scored in total in this match, it was definitely worth watching.

It doesn’t matter if you are a Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester City fan.

It was a match with plenty of suspense, since the teams kept alternating in the lead.

Finally, Paris Saint-Germain won the game, and the end score was 4-2.

Although Manchester City put a good performance, this proved not to be enough against a strong Paris Saint-Germain side playing at home.

In spite of the non-stop rain, the French team didn’t seem to be affected.

They played as if there was no rain.

Manchester City, on the other hand, played a tight game with counter-attacks.

I think they were negatively affected by the fact that they were playing away.

After some point, Manchester City simply couldn’t keep up with the pace of Paris Saint-Germain.

Of course, regardless of losing the match and receiving so many goals, Manchester City remains a strong top-class team.

If there was another, weaker, team in their place, Paris Saint-Germain would have scored even more goals.

Paris Saint-Germain looks in good form, and it remains to be seen whether they will have similarly high performance against other strong UEFA Champions League contestants.

Manchester City’s Haaland was well guarded throughout the game.

He could have made the difference for his team, but, like his teammates, he seemed unable to follow the relentless pace of Paris Saint-Germain during the game.

Paris Saint-Germain showed that they have a well-organized team across all lines in the field.

Their goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders, and forwards were all smoothly orchestrated by their manager, Louis
Enrique, who tested his coaching skills against another top Spanish manager, Pepe Guardiola.

Dembele and Barcola were excellent in their role as attacking forwards.

I think that neither of these two teams can really challenge Liverpool, Barcelona, or Arsenal in the run to winning the trophy, but you never know in football.

For people like me who don't fan any of the two clubs, we definitely enjoyed the end to end football with attacking flay.
