There's been a driver death almost every year on average since it's began.

This sounds scary. ..

The fact that people get to die doesn't make the sport a very interesting one to watch, on my part.

Yep it's very unfortunate and the risks are real. It must be such an adrenalin rush to race and would be addictive

How do their wives cope? (For those drivers who are married)

Yep it would be hard. I suppose the wives would know the dangers that would exist for the drivers. Also, if you compare it to how many professional drivers are out there I'm sure the rate of mortality isn't as bad as it may seem when we handpick the numbers out

A little relief but I think more protective measures and rules should be put in place to reduce the risk of death.

It must be hard being married to a car racer😁
