Exactly 7 days ago, I mentioned that I managed to repair some things on my car. I took it to a mechanic for those repairs, but as a result of the adjustments made to the car, other issues arose that I had to fix myself. I thought everything was in order, but three days ago, the car started making a kind of knocking sound whenever it rolled, specifically at the front left wheel, or the driver's side.

Hace 7 dias exactamente contaba que logre reparar algunas reparaciones al carro, lo puse en manos de un mecanico para esas rteparaciones, pero a raiz de los ajustes que recibio el carro surgieron otros que tuve que corregir yo mismo. Pensé que ya todo estaba en orden pero hace 3 de dias el carro comenzó a tener un sonido como especie de golpe cada vez que rodaba, exactamente en la rueda delantera izquierda o la del lado del conductor.
I took it back to the mechanic under warranty because they had only replaced the bearing on that wheel. I thought maybe they had left something misaligned or poorly assembled, and I didn't want to fix it myself since I had already paid for it. They took the car in and said it was just a matter of adjusting it. So I took it for a test drive, and sure enough, the noise was gone. A day passed, and the noise started again, but this time it was louder when I braked, so I decided to take the wheel off myself to determine the reason and make a well-founded claim.
Lo lleve al mecanico por garantía porque en esa rueda se cambio solo el rodamiento, pense que quizas dejaron algo desajustado o mal montado y no quise arreglarlo yo porque ya había pagado por eso. Ellos me recibieron el carro y segun era cuestión de ajustarlo, asi que sali a probarlo y efectivamente el sonido se quitó. Paso un dia y comenzó de nuevo el sonido, pero esta vez sonaba más fuerte cuando frenaba, asi que decidi bajar la rueda yo para determinar la razón y hacer el reclamo con fundamento.
Everything seemed to be adjusted correctly, but since it was louder when braking, I lowered the caliper and that's when I found the surprise. The brake pad was broken, and they had placed a kind of glue to reattach it. I'm absolutely sure that the pad wasn't like that because I installed it myself, and the good thing is that I have proof to show the mechanic because I made a post about the process.
Todo se veía bien ajustado, pero como sonaba más fuerte al frenar baje el caliper y fue allí donde encontré la sorpresa. La pastilla de freno estaba rota, y le había colocado una especie de pega para volverla a montar. Yo estoy cien por ciento seguro que esa pastilla no estaba asi, porque yo mismo la monte y lo bueno es que tengo la prueba para mostrarselo al mecanico, porque hice una publicacion del proceso.

I reassembled everything and adjusted it as best I could. I also took the opportunity to service the ABS sensor, as the light on the dashboard had been on for some time. On this car, the sensor senses the wheel's rotation on a kind of spline or gear on the axle, not like other cars where it's on a magnetic ring in the bearing. This sensor gets filled with iron shavings and dirt, and the ABS doesn't activate. With a cleaning, the dashboard light went out.
Monte todo nuevamente y ajuste lo mejor que puede, aproveche para hacerle mantenimiento al sensor de ABS que desde hace tiempo se encendió la luz en el tablero. En este carro el sensor sensa el giro de la rueda en una especie de estría o engranaje que está en el eje, no como en otros carros que es en una banda magnética en el rodamiento. Este sensor se llena de virutas de hierro y sucio y no se activa el ABS, con la limpieza se quitó la luz del tablero.
Now I have to go back to the mechanic and make a claim with the evidence, and they need to compensate me for the brake pad. On another occasion, I might have just left it, but I made a lot of sacrifices to make these repairs, and I didn't bargain with the mechanic on the price of his labor like some people do.
Ahora me toca ir donde el mecanico y hacer el reclamo con las pruebas y me reconozcan la pastilla, en otra oportunidad lo hubiera dejado así pero hice mucho sacrificio para hacer estas reparaciones, y al mecánico no le regatee en el precio de su mano de obra como hacen algunos.

El problema de las reparaciones por garantía es que el cliente no está presente durante la ejecución y a veces no le hacen nada al carro y sale igual o peor que como entró
Ya les he dejado el carro antes y todo bien, pero esta vez me salieron con esta, no se esperaban que yo bajara la rueda y revisara.
