Good evening people at Hive, I hope you had a good Tuesday. This morning I had to start my workday and, oh surprise! My dear bike won't start, so in addition to racking my brain trying to find the fault, take the opportunity to take some pictures and show you what I did and what to take into consideration if something similar happens to them.

Buenas noches gente en Hive, espero que hayan tenido un buen martes. En la mañana de hoy me disponía ha iniciar mi jornada laboral y ¡oh sorpresa! Mi querida moto no enciende, así que además de devanarme el cerebro tratando de encontrar la falla aproveche la oportunidad para tomar algunas fotografías y así mostrarles lo que hice y que tener en consideración si les sucede algo similar.

The first thing is to clear the area, you have to remove the entire bodywork or at least the one that hinders access to the engine and since I had the motorcycle disassembled I wanted to review several strange noises that I had been listening to in the transmission for a while.

The main thing for an engine to start is that the cylinder reaches fuel, air and a good spark, so with that in mind the first thing I check is that gasoline reaches the cylinder, I checked that the hoses were not clogged and gasoline did indeed arrive (I recommend some mints to get rid of the gasoline flavor).

Lo primero es despejar el área, hay quitar toda la carrocería o al menos la que nos obstaculice el acceso al motor y ya que tenia la moto desmontada quise revisar varios ruidos extraños que tenia rato escuchando en la transmisión.
Lo principal para que un motor encienda es que al cilindro llegue combustible, aire y una buena chispa, así que con eso en mente lo primero que revise es que llegara gasolina al cilindro, comprobé no estuvieran obstruidas las mangueras y efectivamente llegaba gasolina (les recomiendo unas mentas para quitarse el sabor a gasolina).

The next thing on my list was to check the spark, I removed the spark plug and grounding a part of the chassis and giving the starter did not give even a small electric arc ... BINGO! I found the fault that had made me lose the morning, I checked the cable, the spark plug and the connector and I realized that the connector was a little sulphated and probably because of that it did not make good contact, a cleaning and that's it.

Lo siguiente en mi lista era revisar la chispa, desmonte la bujía y haciendo tierra con una parte del chasis y dándole al arranque no daba ni un pequeño arco eléctrico... BINGO! encontré la falla que me había hecho perder la mañana, revise el cable, la bujía y el conector y me di cuenta que el conector estaba un poco sulfatado y probablemente por eso no hacia buen contacto, una limpieza y listo.

Convinced that with this I would be ready, I tried to start the motorcycle and nothing ... After a few cigarettes and staring at the motorcycle for 15 minutes as if it were going to start talking and tell me what I had, I think that maybe the problem is That is losing compression, maybe the valves do not make a good seal, with that in mind I disassemble the spark plug, put my finger and give the kickstand (I know that there are more sophisticated methods of knowing if a motorcycle has compression) and if into pressure ... another dead end.

Convencido de que con esto ya estaría listo intente encender la moto y nada... Después de unos cuantos cigarrillos y mirar la moto fijamente por 15 minutos como si esta fuera a empezar a hablar y a decirme que tenia, pienso que tal vez el problema es que esta perdiendo compresión, tal vez las válvulas no hacen buen sello, con eso en mente desmonto la bujía, meto mi dedo y le doy a la pata de arranque (se que existen métodos mas sofisticados de saber si una moto tiene compresión) y si hacia presión... otro callejón sin salida.

Already desperate and taking advantage of the fact that I had removed the intake pipe, I think, "I'm fed up, I'm going to pour gasoline directly into the cylinder and I'm going to turn it on, whether the engine starts or I throw a match" and I did that. I put a lot of gasoline directly into the intake valve (the most knowledgeable in mechanics must see me as a monkey with a screwdriver), I put the carburettor back on and hit the starter ... It worked! I don't know how or why but he did it and to be frank at this point I am satisfied with that.

Ya desesperado y aprovechando que había quitado el tubo de la admisión pienso, "estoy harto le voy a echar gasolina directo en el cilindro y la voy a encender, ya sea que el motor encienda o que le tire un fosforo" y eso hice, le puse mucha gasolina directo en la válvula de admisión (los mas entendidos en mecánica me deben ver como a un mono con un destornillador), le puse de nuevo el carburador y le di al arranque... Funciono! no se como o porque pero lo hizo y para ser franco a estas alturas con eso me conformo.

Now calmer, happy and with my manhood swollen with success, I am about to review those annoying noises in the transmission. I remove the cover and almost immediately I realize that there is something broken, looking a little deeper I discover that the spacer of the kick starter shaft is broken, the teeth of the kick starter gear are also broken and there are a lot of dirt, dryness and in short, a disaster.

Ya mas tranquilo, feliz y con la hombría hinchada de éxito me dispongo a revisar esos ruidos molestos en la transmisión. quito la tapa y casi de inmediato me doy cuenta de que hay algo roto, viendo un poco mas a fondo descubro que el espaciador del eje de la patada de arranque esta roto, los dientes del engrane de la pata de arranque también están rotos y hay mucha mugre, resequedad y en fin, un desastre.

I bought the broken parts and it was only necessary to clean, grease and assemble, I also did a little maintenance to the roller variator of the automatic transmission, excuse me that the photos are not the best but between the dirt and the grease I did not have very hands clean and taking photos like that is difficult.

Compre las piezas rotas y solo hacia falta limpiar, engrasar y montar, también le hice un poco de mantenimiento al variador de rodillos de la transmisión automática, disculpen que las fotos no son las mejores pero entre la mugre y la grasa no tenia las manos muy limpias y tomar fotos así es difícil.
