Hello everybody,I wish you are all well. it's been a busy week in the garage with three motorcycles in need of work, so let's start with the first in a row an 1989 Honda Cb1-400.There has been a lot of works on that bike the last year but unfortunately without any photos so i would like to catch up with you. The bike has changed handlebars with new clip-ons placed under the triple clamp for a more sport riders possition, wheels top triple clamp and some frame covers had been powder coted black and a new headlight and a speedometer had been replaced with smaller ones such as the control levers , and last but not least a proper carburator adjustment.
Our goal is to custom this bike to a cafe racer, this time row has a rear wheel fender whitch needs to be mounted on the swing arm. If you remember i had made a licence plate bracket for Honda steed 400 last mounth, it is going to be an almost identical job on this project.
I took some metal rods and a plate to start shaping the new part for the givi rear fender. Ι cut the plate in a shape i thing it is going to look nice and bend the rods to fit the fender, trimed and drilled some brackets to make them fit with the fender holes and welded them together.
After a test installation, it's time to finish the construction by brushing to remove the rust and paintspray it black. I am realy happy with the way it looks, the owner wanted the original rear fender removed so it's time for some trims and cuts.
The licence plate need a place to be intalled so i choosed to mount it under the seat, it is no a legal possition but the bike looks so hot that way. I hope that the police will not give him a huge ticket about that.
It was nice sharing my work with you once more, thank you all for reading, stay safe.
