They gained some confidence and patients when doing a big job like this, that’s for sure. lol.
People don’t want to pay to fix those older cars, so they dump them off for cheap. If you got the skills and know how l, you can get some sweet deals with some effort.

My husband was our sole mechanic for decades and kept a fleet of Subarus running. The latest is our 6th, but he died Christmas 2020. I had a good mechanic but he died a year later. Right now my brother is testing a mechanic nearby, but lord! The labor is expensive!

Labor is very expensive and that is what has pushed me to get the educate myself to do it myself. The tools to get these jobs done can get expensive too.
Finding a good honest mechanic is tough. Hopefully is works out for you guys.
