Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

Another Day Of Tear Downs!

That is one thing I like about lining these things up! You can cut through them like a hot knife through butter! It cuts deep!

A few weeks ago we booked in about five or six Nissan NP 300's and we have more coming in, so we've got to start clearing these out fast!

Let's hit the comeback first!
Well yeah we also make mistakes every now and then hey! So for this we need to give it the most attention and first as well!

Well she's all pulled out and it's not a big problem at all, just one bearing that gave in and collapsed but we decided to pull it all out and give it a nice cleaning, we've got to get this one cleaned and built real fast!

This was an easy one, everything just fell out of place.... I know that sounds bad but it isn't really!

Cutting Through The 2x4's!

Well it makes sense to hit the easy ones first hey? Not because they're easy but because they're fast and then it might look like I actually did something for the day, right?

Laughs well this day was hectic! with all these transmissions, we didn't just tear it down. We washed them and cleaned them and lined them up for the day!

This one isn't as mashed up as we thought it would be, we think the problem might be with the drive-shaft. However these are state police vehicles so we've got to make sure everything is as good as it can be, for when they need that last bit of life and it just isn't there!

Complete tear down and cleaning of this one.

The Last Of The NP 300's!

There ya go, she looks a little different right! I'm sure you've noticed? I do hope so!

Well this is a 4x4. so it has the transfer case that bolts on at the back. She's pretty much the same build, the only difference being the synchro's, this one has a double synchro instead of just one synchro pressing down on the clutch body, since they are built to give power through that all makes sense.

It's when we cross over to the diesel where the builds start to change and those are a pesky bunch, lels!

I think I might be talking crap, the main shaft is thicker and certainly longer and the end. without a doubt xD

Anyways this one took a real hard knock and it's going to be costly to fix this one up, a lot of seized bearings and worn gears, might have ran low on oil but not enough to melt everything away.

Or the other more likely option might be that it just never got an oil change on services. They rarely service transmissions, this I know for a fact xD! Hence we're in business!

It Showed Real Fast!

I barely started cracking the surface and the signs of wear showed! Well that bearing needs a few goons there hey! Laughs!

Do you think we can pop a few goons in and re-use it? I mean it doesn't look that bad at all does it? It's not even burnt blue yet! Laughs!

The Washing Was The Tedious Part!

Yeah we've got a machine, but you can't just pop the dirty shit in there... At the very least you've got to scrub of all the dirt and most of the grease, this thing works with water and you'd like to keep most of the grease out of there.

So we double washed everything, that sounds like real fun hey!
It was a busy damned day!

Damn brother, you've certainly had quite the busy day tackling those NP 300s and transmissions. Keeping those state police vehicles in top shape must be a challenge, but it's satisfying to see everything cleaned up and ready to roll. !WEED
