“What we now want is closer contact and better understanding between individuals and communities all over the earth, and the elimination of egoism and pride which is always prone to plunge the world into primeval barbarism and strife... Peace can only come as a natural consequence of universal enlightenment...”
― Nikola Tesla
Today was a good productive day, we had a nice sunny day, all the work has been completed, not everything in my hands but what I could do I've done it properly.
Past day's or maybe even two weeks I've been slowly loosening my restrictions, from telling myself what is good for me to eat / instead of what I musn't eat, or to simply say I slowly stopped "building walls around myself".
I still have my focus on the goals to achieve one of them are to be happy, strong and healthy. Still learning on my way, focusing on what is in front of me, putting focus on here and now, to live in presence as much as possible.
Learning simple things that a year ago didn't know existed, well I knew that I have to respect others, to value things, people around me, nature of course. But nobody thought me to love, value nor respect myself. These are the main things I got a lot of work to do.
When I was done with work for today I was asked if I want to drive with the weekend and if I could go pick it up. Of course!
You don't need to ask me twice if I want to drive... I love driving!
When I went to pick it up it was a Volkswagen Golf, well e-Golf that looks like Golf GTE, is silent and on first look looks totally like an average Golf without exhaust tips.
Took if firstly on a small trip to pick up my mum and share the experience with her. She probably never thought she will drive in an electric car, she was very excited and happy. Later I ate lunch and continued the small road trips on a twisted well-known road to me to Smartinsko lake, where I took a few photos and went on a quick walk to get some fresh air.
Continued to my apartment that is located up in the hills and about 30kilometers from where I started. Everything was running smoothly, with what it felt like plenty of power (140hp) and it's instant electric torque from the motor. Until the e-Golf met our hills, where the battery started losing % very fast, well at least to me.
Lost around 40% range after I went to visit a friend, gave him a ride around our narrow twisted roads threw valley and hills before I parked the car. Started with 180 km of charge and now it's at 100 km. That's without air condition and plenty of 'acceleration testing' :)
Ended my day with a very short meditation I try to start adding in my daily routine and finished up the day with Wim Hof breathing method and I'm about to go under a cold shower.

Thank you for taking stopping by, staying positive & I wish you a great weekend! (and a little less TV)
Sounds like you've had a fun filled day out. Glad you enjoyed the EV experience.
Annabelle 😊
It really was! I've also almost went to germany to buy a 1 owner syncro VR6 2.9 B3 passat, but at the last moment decided to get a garage first, before buying anything other than my daily 4motion.
Was fun, unique experience, but also decided I will have a vr6 in my life, before ever thinking of buying an ev :)
Sounds like a plan that will cover all bases @warrkin!
Annabelle 😊
Hi @warrkin, thanks for sharing your EV experience with us, even more important for those of us who live in a place where gasoline engines hava a lot of years to go yet.
From your post I gathered that going up hills power was lost fairly quickly, is that so? Imagine you need to travel quite a few km up a mountain change such those in Ecuador, Bolivia, or Peru for that matter.
If possible tell us more about it.
Take care...
They are also very rere in sLOVEnia, there is quite a few of EV's driving around but all are not in Tesla's price range. Most are only used in the cities. Yeah the range does lower significantly if you use modern luxury we're all used to in everyday driving, combined with hills i bet the range combined lowers for about 1/4. I live up in hills, not that high around 300m of altitude change there.
Thank you very kindly for leaving a comment!
Seens interesting to be able to drive and electric on someone else timework, fine by me but damm nice car you got XD Anyway, love to see you in action and the car looks fine, i still dont trust electric cars to do ALL we ask from petrol ones, but sooner or later they will fine tune those until it happens.
It has been an interesting experience, if anyone offers me the key's to go for a ride, I will drive anything!
Although I do prefer combustion cars, have a softspot for youngtimers and VAG group vehicles from the 90's. I like diesels, I love Turbo's even more. I love the sound of a petrol like boxer or a VR... but God save the manuals! :)
Gotta say it, petrol cars feels way different than electric ones :S
Yeah.. old classic's even had soul..
