People are social creatures - at least that's what they say, although there are individuals who probably prefer to spend time alone. That is also understandable if we just look around and see some things going on. Nevertheless, communication with the outside world is always present in some way or another and is also very important for our survival, on a global and personal level. Words are important, but what should we do when they don't come so easily or can't be expressed?
We can't deny that our brains have evolved in such a way that we need social connections. We will always long to engage with other people's thoughts, intentions and feelings, it is our default mode. However, sometimes we just feel too confused or muddled, so clear words and decisions don't come, even to ourselves. (come on, why are you so surprised now? We all talk to ourselves to some extent, don't we? 😆)
Maybe that barricade comes from feeling heavy, stuck and messed up? That sucks. Sometimes the key is to zoom out and go easy on things, but getting back to being heavy... hmmm... rocks are heavy too! And look, here they are. Of different sizes.
I brought these home the other day from the beach. Already there I made a little composition inspired by a local artist's works that contain pebbles representing people. I saw those little scenes on a street market and thought it was so cute. Sure, I am not an artist but I can try to make something in my limited and basic form at home.

Some basic material for a simple thing can be cool too. A minimalistic approach maybe, to get out step by step from the black night.
Stars can also shine to illuminate the night and highlight a hug between two people. Oh, a hug? 😀
If the hug lasts long enough, it doesn't really matter who those two pebbles are, perhaps some energy will be released and any feelings of heaviness may disappear. Let's try it.

How beautiful! It's really important to look at those around us, and not just at our own navels. I recently read a post by tarazkp about glass people. And that's what we're really missing. Knowing that there is someone on the other side, knowing how to trust ourselves and those around us. I loved the simplicity of your idea and the beautiful, simple piece that was created (well, I'm not an artist... Ahahah).

To a certain extent I was moved. The value of a hug is incalculable especially for those who are far away... and also a hug is a beautiful source of energy, it shows affection and love between beings. It made me happy to imagine to whom I would give that hug.

I saw a lot of these kinds of painted pebbles over the couple of weeks here in the city. They were all painted but then hidden in plain sight. Walk past them and see the image all of sudden in there, they made me smile.
Hidden pebbles, for the eyes beholder to see. Not bad right?
I don't watch the news so I am not sure what's going on in the Netherlands, or is it in general always like that, but the hidden painted pebbles give some hope there is some kindness hiding for the passers-by. :)) Also, I hope that these little hugging pebbles made you smile for a moment and brought you a hug 🤗
I just came home from a private garden party where I performed a piano concert. It was super nice and so kind and grateful people received the music with an open heart and gave back the same energy. I wish every evening would be like this ✨🎶 It's like if this rock from yesterday anticipated this evening.

Thank you. About the paints and painting of the rocks, if you want to give it a try you can use for example acrylic paints based on water. I used those for the base for some time and then painted the details with acrylic markers. I have bought a whole set of colours. Now this one was painted with acrylics based on latex. Son esos en los botes pequeños donde pone pintura satinada, el bote azul. Ahora subiré la foto de diferentes tipos de pintura que van muy bien con las rocas.

I love this hug, the combination of stone colors are beautiful. The hug has a lot of meaning and you have been able to show it in this work that apparently is simple but the idea of reflecting it in these colorful stones is what makes it special.
