Back to make some mess

in Kindness Rocks2 months ago (edited)

After our vacation time, which went by at the speed of light and was full of activities, we arrived at our Spanish home. Everything was neat and clean, just as I left it. A friend came to take care of my plants and also to spend some time here so there were no surprises that could happen to us. It was too neat... luckily, that wonderful idea came to my mind to make a little mess! 😂 With colours!

What can this mean, can you guess?

Oh yes, this activity was "forgotten" by me, ie I didn't have any materials or time to make a kindness rock during our trip. Today I realized that I really missed it, so I threw myself into action.

You know how it goes, you first choose the rock and if it will have a base, then you first paint the layers of the white base to cover the rock. Multiple layers. Don't skimp on the white paint or your time! But let me tell you a little secret, if you really don't have time to wait enough between each layer, then you can use a hair dryer, like I did. Paint - dry, and so several times.

Blue was the choice for today's kindness rock. I mixed an intense blue colour with white and got a softer, silky nuance of blue. The same process was repeated as with the white base: paint, dry and repeat two or three (or four - I forgot to count 😆) times the same.

Unfortunately, in one of these repeats, I didn't wait long enough to turn to the other side and in one little spot the paint stuck to my hand; that is why there is now a small imperfection on the blue background of the rock. It still can't be seen, just on the photos that will come later.

I could leave the rock just like this, blue without any detail hahaha, but that was not the intention. There was one tree that wanted to be born on this rock... and the trigger came from a little pendant that I found two days ago at a French gas station.

We stopped briefly, but the gas station was full, there was not a single parking space. As we pulled over for a while, I stepped out of the car and the first thing I saw was a small pendant on the asphalt. Who knows who lost it and when, because this place is very frequent. The material of this pendant is not precious, I think it is just costume jewellery, but what it represents is nice. It is the Tree of Life.

There are many ways how you can paint the Tree of Life. Different cultures use different patterns and different types of trees, as well as the meaning can vary. We can read more about it here. The small pendant with this tree was the inspiration for this tree, which I started with the trunk and main branches.

I painted all the details just with brushes (three of the finest brushes I have got) so it required a lot of focus and calm hands. Anyway, I find the trunk a bit chubby although it can also represent an already old tree, one that lived many summers and winters already. During winter it may look like this.

As it happens every year, when early spring comes the first leaves appear on the branches. Not long after that, the tree blooms (like almonds or cherries) and we can enjoy the play of the white and pink flowers.

It doesn't mean that winter can't reach out again, bringing some snowflakes to additionally decorate the blooming trees. That is what happened here 😁

A little mess of colours - which can give some peace of mind and remind us of the ever-renewing life. 🌿

By the way I'm back to Cuba 🙂

I know, I read your post and commented on it, 15 minutes ago :D

Thank you, Mister Puma, if you want to bring your art one day on rocks here in this community, you are more than welcome 😉

Oh I will happily!! 🙃🎨🪨

Looking forward to seeing your rocky contributions 😋

Nice tree, that blue background looks great. Missed your rocks of goodness 🤗.

Gracias @mdrguez

I also missed making them. What about you? Have you made some kindness rock recently? 🤞

I've been busy with more trivial things, unfortunately. But I'll paint one soon and you'll see something I got as a gift ;)

Feliz domingo igualmente 🍀

Mamani Saludos. Estás enfermita? Qué pasa espero mejores pronto. Para eso te regalo unas décimas:
Mujer, con cuánta ternura
emprendes cada jornada,
en tu mano enamorada
la victoria está segura.
Andas tejiendo cultura,
sembrando, en la construcción,
de ingeniera, en la aviación,
de maestra, o de doctora
y enciendes siempre la aurora
con la luz de tu pasión.

Qué linda está la sitiera
por tu rostro femenino,
siempre alegras el camino
vestida de guayabera.
También la ciudad entera
renace con tu armonía
Eres tierna compañía
fuerte si construyes sueños,
por celebrar tus empeños
agosto te cede un día.

This is so cute -- in my persona as Frau Blumenkind I definitely approve of those colors!

Glad that Frau Blumenkind approved the colour of this kindness rock 🤗

I was wearing close to the those colors though with background and foreground colors reversed on my last excursion (I'll put that in my next post) ... and somebody gave me a hand-painted blessing card on my way home with roughly the same palette ... so, yes, I'm definitely loving blues, pinks, and black as accent right now!

Wow this is so lovely! Cutest thing in my feed!

Thank you 🤩
Glad to see you, I hope you are doing well :))

Thank you! I'm not mega active on Hive these days but I'm still around and grateful for the people I've met here. Hope you (and your family!) are doing well too!

We listen sometimes to your tracks, so you are present in our home 🎶 ;)

Aww that's so nice to hear - thank you!

Your tree on the rock looks beautiful. Today on TV there was a program about a young woman who painted trees and on each branch she put the name of her relatives in an orderly fashion, she organized the family tree of her family. Greetings from Cuba.

Hello @yanerkidiaz

How are you, I hope everything is fine at your side. That's very interesting you say, I imagine it's a nice real family tree of that woman! 🍀

I'll be honest, when I saw the tree of life I said.... it's going to make a stamp, but then I saw you paint it and I said woww I love it even more if it's an almond tree with those beautiful flowers, You chose a perfect contrast between the colour of the stone and the tree. I loved it!!!😍

The colours came by chance... I almost chose the yellow which I like for the background but then I said to myself that it would be cool to try a different colour, not always the same vibrant yellow. Made that mix of blue and then the tree - at first I thought silver would be perfect but the contrast wouldn't be striking. So I used what I had 😁 black, pink and white.

It was a perfect combination and even more the meaning.... my next one will be.... ahhhh surprise jajaja

That's too cute.. I have a lot of poster colors here.. I guess I want to try stone coloring too.. need to buy some brush, though.. you are so creative 😊

It's so much fun to paint on the rocks. And it's a perfect gift to someone, a small personal gift you can make. I encourage you to buy some brush and try out yourself in this hobby 😇

Lovely!!! 😍 I love the blue, highlights the tree nicely.

Köszike! 😇
The choice of the colours came without thinking about it a lot, I used what I had around 😁

Lovely 😍

🍀 Thank you 🤗

And that's how the life of this tree was born in a small and beautiful rock, with a little mess, that's how life is created hehe 🍁

Patience is a virtue that neither Buhito nor I have 😂🦉

I am not sure about that statement 🧐 I think Buhito would like to paint with his feathers on some rocks, you just have to let it do. Give him some paints and you will see that he will patiently paint 🎨 ;)

Thank you and I am glad those things that were missing for the camera arrived 📸

🤗 Hasta mañana, que descanses.

(you edited, no ibas a poder dormir si no lo hacías 🤣 - I spotted you!)

Ya, me voy. 👋

Wow! This is so beautiful!

Thank you 😊

Oh wow
It’s so lovely
The background color is really beautiful

Thank you
