Hello, Pilots!
June Giveaways:
I am going on vacation from June 12 - June 28, which means that π [MELN] Head Scientist @proto26 will write the June 13 (Post #41), June 20 (Post #42), and June 27 (Post #43) π [MELN] Weekly EXODE Wrap-Ups. You will be able to find them on his profile and in the 1up community page. I am going to keep this at the top of the next few posts so that people have fair warning.
π₯Community Contest Results
The π [MELN] Galactic Bioblitz - Contest Results have been published on @proto26's blog, but I'm going to shout out the winners here as well. Go take a look at the entries! They were great.

π°News:
"Starting Discoveries"
As far as I can tell, it seems that each "Discovery" is the introduction to a sub-tech tree holding 9 technologies that you can research. There are a total of 7 tech trees, which means there are 63 total technologies. We will go through the ones that @elindos has laid out below.
Analyzing Ship Damage
This is the first option in the "Starships" tech tree. Once you grab this, you will unlock the quest "Ship Repair" and unlock "Recolonization". It will also allow your engineers to begin repairing your ship.
Analyzing This Planet
This is the first option in the "Planetology" tech tree. Once you research this, you will unlock the quest "Explore your Planet". It will also increase your knowledge.
Wildlife
Finally got our first look at some wildlife concept art. I remember this was highly requested, and I think it looks great! They are procedurally generated so I am curious as to how they will pull this off.
πGiveaway:
This week, 3 different people have a chance of winning:
1x Autoguided Ammo
This card is just like Defensive Ammo, except it gives 1 less magazine and buffs your character's accuracy by 8. This is my personal favorite for low-accuracy guns, as your caliber doesn't matter, shot placement does.
πPrevious Winners:
Congratulations @blitzzzz, @jdike, and @cartel-exode. You have been sent SMOOTY All-In-One # 01ee3c9a4296bb8e55313357105ca895, # b2a8e657562a5ee6cd478330e7088351, and # ba5cd2a6b6ac74631def73394ba04866 respectively.
My favorite comment from last week came from @cartel-exode:
"I have "space puppies" on my planet, @tinyputerboy! The animal I speak of is the Tobiama, one I've mentioned before. It is a medium sized creature about the size of an earthly dog. It comes in brown and also with pink stripes. Unfortunately, not much is known about its behavior since we still have yet to study this creature and we were never ambushed by it during expeditions. I will not be participating in the contest since I am merely a refurbished kilbot, reprogramed by [MELN] scientists. So, you see, it wouldn't be fair."
You have been sent EXPLANATOR # a63fb26742367fa2bd4fd4cf747096b3 to aid in your killing.

As usual, I will be tipping comments with #hivepizza!
I will also be giving a 'SurPRIZE' to my favorite comment.
EXODE is a real-time strategy space colonization game here on the Hive Blockchain. If you still have not bought your starter pack and signed up, use this Referral Code(c956af8) and you'll also receive 2 free Alpha Booster Packs with 5 NFT cards each and a free Epic Alpha Character. For more information and links, check out the developer's page, @elindos and this post by π [MELN] Head Scientist @proto26.
A couple ideas for a contest, as per some of the comments posted prior to this.
I personally like 3 and 4. They seem easy enough. Perceived difficulty is definitely a limiting factor for participation. I've done some short eXode stories in the past. I think this is something people could do.
Amazing ideas! Will definitely keep these in mind for future contests.

Won again, thank you! Hope still have a !PIZZA to share!
Although playing Exode is highly individual, depending on A LOT of options, I would love to see a contest "for best deck for evacuation(/away teams) using cheap cards only". It might give people some encouragement to add more and specific cards to their collection
I really like this idea a lot. I can already think of categories for it, like you said.

Hi there.
Im new in the game, so i donΒ΄t know much of the game, im reading a lot but the game is so big and thats great, the topic i want know more about is about how we can work around the planet conditions, if every planet we land is habitable, that discussion also includes scans, i already scanned a planet and the info i got seems pretty relevant, but i decided to land just to try out, my last and the real question is how good is that decision or just maybe leave and get a better planet. as you can see i have a lot of questions im reading in discord some of them are more clear for me and intuitive than others but game experience is great so far.
π
Every planet is habitable. We don't have enough of a frame of reference to know which planets are the best yet.

I would like to hear about different strategies for survival.

Fair enough.

What luck! Now I have my first Rekatron weapon and my first habitat! Thank you! Winning some ammo now would be great. Perhaps for Away Teams Step 2 when we can deploy a new deck there can be a contest for who scores highest during Evac. But it should be required to write a dedicated post either detailing the events like a story or in the form of a guide. I think many different categories for prizes can be created such as "One for the Archives" (best story/writeup), "Savior of Humanity" (most passengers escorted), "Vigilante" (most looters killed) and maybe a few others but that's all that comes to my circuits right now.
I like idea of these, however I feel that the people with better cards would absolutely steamroll players without them. How could a new player hope to win Vigilante without any weapons or just the starter equipment? I think that your idea combined with @jdike's could result in a cool contest though.

I think what we all want to know is why @cartel-exode gets space puppies and the rest of us either don't get space puppies, get eaten by non-puppies big and small, or both.
Not sure if you could build a contest around that, though.
But more in that vein, I am curious what's happening with squadrons and alliances. What people's experiences have been with them so far.
@cartel-exode is just lucky, life isn't fair sometimes, lol.
Alliance experience has been great, but that's because π [MELN] is so awesome. As for squadrons, I don't think that I'm officially part of one. I don't really see the point of them. It's just a smaller Alliance and most of the squadrons I have seen aren't even people in the same Alliance. Will have to wait and see what the system provides.

I am glad the community for EXODE has such a high energy. Congratulations to the winners! I think an interesting contest idea would be to give the equipment (Weapons, Armor, Vehicles) a voice similar to the technology in Warhammer 40k, how the imperium gear hosts a 'Machine Spirit' and to hear its thoughts about certain situations that occur in EXODE.
Thank you for hosting a giveaway and good luck to the next entrants!
I have never played Warhammer 40k, but that is a super unique idea that I've never heard of. I don't know how we would turn it into a contest, but it's cool nonetheless.

I like this idea. We would have to wait for some features to be released. Then as we gain experience using weapons and vehicles, player encounters and vehicle usage can be described in stories. Creating little short stories where the item is talking is really cool IMO. Good one.
Thanks for the prize π Pretty late checking in this week. I'm pretty much stuck in the mountains on a holiday π.
All the topics explored have been so varied that there's not much real input from me about what kind of contest anymore. Perhaps a Trivia/Quiz? That'll help us learn more about the lore of the game and what not.
Can't exactly think
Fair enough. @sckoarn thought about hosting a once a month AMA but unsure if the community would want that.
Keep the good news coming!
!PIZZA
Always will!

Mmmm, a art contest
We just had an art contest.
Haha.
!PIZZA
Haha, this and @proto26's response made me laugh.
