PIZZA recently held a "Dinosaur Appreciation Day" and I'll say this was definitely a FIRST for me ๐คฃ (and everyone else too in all likelihood). I was thinking it was some metaphor at first, or perhaps a joke ๐ค๐, but it turned out to be a proper event indeed. All thanks to @huzzah, who did a real fine job bringing us into a world where dinosaurs exists. Big props to her co-guide @cryptoniusrex (whether planned or not ๐) who provided lots of extra tidbits in his commentary too.

No surprise here that our announcer AND hostess is once again @huzzah ๐ฏ๐ ๐.
When I first joined in the Events channel, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I was greeted by @huzzah bringing us on a trip (virtually of course). It was only when I saw the sphere and those familiar gates that I realised this was probably a Jurassic Park game of some sort
Naturally everyone had lots of questions! What game was this? What would happen to the dinosaurs under certain scenarios? Would we see lots of violence? Well, you get the idea ๐.
Interestingly too, this was the first time @wittyzell had ever heard Huzzah's voice ๐คฃ. Well, now you know what Huzzah sounds like ๐. As for all of you curious PIZZA Folk who still don't, time to join our events whenever possible ๐. Who knows, you might get lucky and hear Huzzah again soon!
It turns out that Huzzah had created an entire park of her own within the game Jurassic Park Evolution 2. It was populated with various breeds of dinosaurs and there were a ton of other guests (NPCs of course) besides us too.
Of course, no Jurassic Park Dino Tour is going to be complete without John Williams' iconic soundtracks ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ, so @creodas duly obliged.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a business simulation game developed and published by Frontier Developments, as a sequel to Jurassic World Evolution. It was released on November 9th 2021, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
Like its predecessor, Evolution 2 is a park building simulation, in which players must build and manage their own Jurassic World theme park, with greater levels of customisation and more realistic animal behaviours. In addition to dinosaurs, Evolution 2 also includes the highly requested addition of both pterosaurs and marine reptiles.

As we went on the park ride, we encountered a wide variety of Dinosaurs, even the T-Rexes and Velociraptors. Huzzah and Cryptonius did a magnificent job identifying them and giving more details.
For the uninitiated, Cryptoniusrex is PIZZA's very own real life Indiana Jones, Archeologist, Paleontologist, Explorer, Adventurer.... you get the idea ๐คฃ. Yes, I might have exaggerated it a little (or maybe more than a litte ๐), but he actually does work in this field.
At this point, it occurred to quite a few of us that, what we were experiencing isn't quite what usually goes on in the Jurassic Park series of movies! ๐คฃ Everything was a bit too peaceful. The graphics in this game were most impressive however, and it would make for a perfect game for a VR setup ๐๐๐. I could easily imagine myself being lost in this world and exploring it ๐บ๏ธ๐บ๏ธ๐บ๏ธ.
Well, we soon realised that Huzzah has set the game mode to be PG13 only. Anticipating that there might be some young children in the audience (not us, but a few of us have kids that might be watching too), she very considerately decided not to give any small kids a traumatic experience. ๐
๐๐Release the Kraken!๐๐
Well, all that peace wouldn't last for the entire event. The viewers were out for blood! ๐ฉธ๐
Eventually, Huzzah decided to RELEASE THE KRAKEN! No idea what that dinosaur was called, but that, I presume, was the huge underwater beast which off-ed the T-Rex hybrid in the movie.
Off he goes to wreck havoc. And with that, all PG filters were turned off and the dinosaurs were allowed to be REAL dinosaurs ๐๐๐.
Well, the effects were pretty immediate. All sorts of warning signs starting going off on Huzzah's screen. Dinosaurs started attacking each other. You can see the velociraptors feasting on another bigger dinosaur which they had brought down here, with all the wound marks on said victim.
Over at the park, dinosaurs had broken free and the people were fleeing in panic (and presumably getting eaten too? ๐).
Pterosaurs were going wild too and brought down a helicopter. Of course the T-Rex was out doing his own stuff, which was basically killing everything in his path.
Those huge dinosaurs I once knew as Brontosauruses (no idea what they're called after their name change ๐) proved to be more than a match for the T-Rex though. Yay plant eaters!
The T-Rex goes into battle and scores another kill. And that turns out to be lunch for him too. I can see why all these options were switched off earlier on ๐คฃ. There was quite a bit of blood and gore.
๐ญAll Good Things Must Come to an End๐ญ
The "hour long tour" soon came to an end (although it actually stretched on to almost 2 hours instead) and the park would soon be closed for business. Time to clean up all that wreckage from the mayhem caused by rampaging dinosaurs ๐.
Once again, Many Thanks to @huzzah for hosting the events, and of course, everyone who took the time off to join us. It is everyone having fun together that makes these events a success! This Dinosaur appreciation day surprised me. It was a lot more fun that I'd thought it would be.

Haha, it did take some time. I even had to start over when my original Pizza Park glitched. Some of the water dinosaurs were glitching on land and dying. It was so crazy.

Oh man, this brings back memories of derping my way through the old DOS game DinoPark Tycoon! I always found it hilarious that I could drop a T-Rex in a pen surrounded by nothing but measly chain-linked fence.
