Beast gardens like Pokémon or Magic the gathering uses an elemental type advantage system which is calculated based on the average weakness or strength of the team all together
Everything is based on the type advantage as far as I can tell only other contributing factor is Difficulty which you get to choose.

Obviously the more diverse your monsters the better chance you have of winning for this I recommend camping the in game auctions & outbidding the last second.
There are accounts strictly doing this for profit as the price is usually much lower then resale
Oh and get cracking on your Battle Pass ASAP
The Games damage system right now is only about a 1/3 of what the future roadmap outlines but as of writing this the elemental advantage or disadvantage is the primary factor.

Nice, since this morning I have been messing with Beast Gardens & discovered something else
See cards can have multiple element types See the base element of Wolpertinger is Nature so its week to fire but it has an attack in which its element is Air.
so its weakened by fire but damages earth. Not every beast has multiple elements most of the cheaper ones have a single element.
This ones element is water & attacks with water, good luck in game they dropped bounty packs for the first time ever today & introduced a new blend use case Beast gardens is B-lining through its roadmap. Also we are currently in 5th place in the Gnocity tournament out of 55 not bad
O that is good to know, I am gonna check out some rarer cards, I think I only got uncommon and common atm.
